Piano Lessons Ottawa West - Kanata Lakes
Description
Piano Studio in Kanata Lakes. Children 7 years of age or older and adults welcome. Not accepting beginners at this time.
***Dog-friendly home***
Together, we choose pieces which are both enjoyable and technically appropriate for your level or exam (if you’re preparing for one)
With younger students, we explore music history through interesting (and often funny) stories about composers and musical instruments.
Learning to play music is not about talent. It's about listening, understanding, and good work habits.
It is true that some students have an easier time learning at first, but in the end, talent alone does not guarantee success. Daily practice is the most important key to success.
I am looking for students who are willing to commit to daily practice of at least 30 minutes. With time, we increase the length of practice, depending on your level and goals.
(If you're a parent of a younger student, it is important to be present during their practice session).
I look forward to meeting you!
STUDIO POLICY
Students commit to one term at a time. Each term lasts 2 months (ex: September + October = one term)
Admin + September + October fee is paid by June 15th to hold your spot over the summer
November + December fees are due November 1st
January + February fees are due January 1st etc…
E-transfers will not be refunded for any reason.
* 2 week curtesy notice is appreciated in the event the student would like to discontinue lessons
The total amount of each payment will not be altered (ex: the student knows he/she will be away ahead of time and would like to reduce payment)
Standard in most piano studios, the ‘no make up’ policy means the student commits to the same lesson day/time each week and that lessons missed by the student *for any reason* will not be made up or changed to a different day/time.
* Lessons missed by the teacher will result in a refund.
In case of a mild illness, transportation conflict or inclement weather, the student is encouraged to set up a ZOOM lesson, which will take place during the student’s regular lesson time.
Students showing any symptoms of illness (runny nose, cough, headache, stomach ache, generally not feeling well) MUST choose the online lesson option.
FEES
45 minute weekly lesson is $60
60 minute weekly lesson is $80
There’s a $90 admin fee due at sign up (adult students exempted). This fee covers 4 performances (2 studio recitals, 1 pizza lunch/performance, and a Master Class given by a visiting teacher).
I encourage you to set up a short trial lesson before committing to lessons.
