Job Description:Creative Door Services, North America's largest overhead door dealer, operates nine branches across Western Canada and we have over 50 years of experience in the residential and commercial overhead door industry. We provide access solutions by servicing and installing a variety of overhead doors and driveway gate systems, operators and associated controls. Role: We have an immediate opening for a Lead Garage Door Technician - Installation located in the Kelowna Branch . Reporting to the Field Operations Supervisor, the Technician attends sites to install overhead garage doors. This role is a permanent, full time position. Responsibilities: * Installing Sectional (includes FinDoor), Rolling steel, Fire Doors, High Speed Doors, Security Grilles, Roll Shutters, Bifold * Servicing, and diagnose problems, provide solutions, and carry out required work on overhead doors * Regularly communicate and coordinate with the scheduler on problem solving, provide solutions and required parts if needed. * Welding for installation or repair if required * Effectively assess job scope at the beginning of each job and note any discrepancies to your scheduler immediately- ie: product warranty, site conditions, and safety * Out of town travel for installation and service work, not limited to weekdays * Provide estimates for how many person-hours are required for a service call, and the cost to fix versus replace doors * Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds or more depending on job scope (residential VS commercial) * Must be able to work outside in all different weather conditions, including cold and extreme heat. Lifting, pulling, climbing, standing, sitting, lying down, squatting and kneeling and managing equipment and tools required * Complete all required paperwork daily and submitted on time at the end of each work day- ie: timesheets, FHLA's, job workorder with clear notes and part #'s * If needed, on the on-call rotation for Service * Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements including drug, alcohol, and health assessment when requested for job specific sites without notice * Valid Driver's License and the ability to transport product on trailers and manlifts (on trailers) to and from sites safely * Strong safety mindset * Daily attendance and punctuality * Accountable to making sure safety training and tickets are up to date and valid- clearly communicate to scheduler on required renewals- such as Fall Protection, OSSA Elevated Work Platform, Standard First Aid, CSTS, etc) * Execute on other duties or tasks within the operations department, as assigned Skills: * Mechanically inclined * Strong work ethic, a team player with a positive attitude * Business savvy with a customer service focus * Good customer service, communication and problem-solving skills * Comfortable with heights (ladders & lifts) * Ability to work outside in all weather conditions * Strong safety mindset - willing and able to wear all required PPE including hard hat * Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills Qualifications: * Experience in a Service/Installation Industry * Possess a valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract * CDI Certification is an asset but not a requirement * Relevant safety training and tickets are an asset (such as Fall Protection, Forklift, First Aid, etc.) * Experience servicing/installing overhead doors would be preferred * Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds * Must be able to work outside in all different weather conditions, including cold and extreme heat. Lifting, pulling, climbing, standing, sitting, lying down, squatting and kneeling and managing equipment and tools required * Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements including drug, alcohol and health assessment * New hire candidates will be required to provide a current Driver's Abstract at their own cost. What you will be doing:
- Actively promote the Rexall image within the community by encouraging a positive profile through participation and leadership in community business groups as well as initiatives focusing on Health and Wellness
- Provide professional advice and applicable dialogue with patients on prescription, healthy living products, services and O.T.C products in order to provide excellent customer service and encourage customer loyalty
- Champion and model the development of subject matter expertise at store level. Health and Wellness product knowledge, merchandising and exceptional Pharmacy/Patient Care
- Ensure company standard operating procedures, policies, professional standards and applicable laws and regulations are followed
- Demonstrate outstanding sales ability, leadership capabilities, by bringing energy, enthusiasm, passion and strong communication skills as we strive to be recognized as the Canadian leader in pharmacy health care
- Ensure that the store achieves and maintains financial growth
- Recruit, train, motivate and evaluate all Pharmacy staff to ensure proper staffing and efficient pharmacy operations
How you will succeed:
- Pharmacy license to practice in the province in which you are applying
- Experience in retail pharmaceutical systems and dispensing procedures (i.e Nexxsys)
- Ability to maintain the optimum balance between the profession of pharmacy and business of pharmacy
- Previous Pharmacy Management experience is preferred
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
