Good day folks. So,I thought I found someone but they backed out last min so still looking.
Home is 5 bedrooms with 2 large(; a double large) bedroom and a second that is currently furnished. There is also laundry,a kitchen area,and a large living room downstairs. There is also an exercise room upstairs (with the one always clean bathroom with a nice big tub,great showerhead and great hot water heater.
Home is on an acre of land(half cleared,half wild) with one of the best views in Oliver. I have 2 large extremely friendly senior dogs and any type of pet is allowed. (We could have chickens,goats,horses,moredogs/cats,etc) We are very quiet as I walk softly and my dogs rarely bark and sleep most of the day)
Price is for one person (split evenly &/or if any Xtra is needed I always pay it) and I'm looking for someone employed(I cannot sign intent to rent and have had some bad times with folks on welfare/PWD) I am honestly hoping for one person but couples may be considered but please understand the price is for 2 people (myself and another)and every house I've lived in,everyone pays their own way(unless it's a shared bedroom/couch than I can make a deal) but this is for a whole basement.
There is PLENTY of parking,one of the best views in Oliver. Lots of space for gardening and even room to park a trailer. Due to a lot of bad experiences, I am currently looking for someone reliable,honest,respectful and this IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE, but I'm 420 friendly,IDC if someone drinks,have trustworthy guests or how they live AS LONG as it doesn't impede anyone else. (Like leaving rotting food and infesting the house with mice or ants..blah!) Price includes rent/hydro/water/wifi/cable and parking,full use of property. Homeis located in a safe and quiet neighbourhood and the neighbours and myself all look out for each other.
I am very patient and fair(eg. If someone were to move in on the 5 th of the month only the days here would be charged,not a full month) and just hoping there's still some good folk out there that can pay bills on time, are honest(no thievery when all one needs to do is ASK) & someone that can take care of their space and help pitch in with yard work every once and a while. I don't have many guests but don't mind if one does as long as they are also trustworthy. Ones home IS ones sanctuary ,and it's nice to keep drama to a bare min as it's never needed,
I truly hope I can find a good person as I DO NOT need all the space(I go in the basement to do laundry so very rarely so lots of space AND privacy and even if the animals do not get along or is very easy to keep them separated. No pet deposit is required(as animals have never caused any damage/issues) but a $300 DD Is required (& a receipt issued)& if/when moving out as long as nothing is damaged,stolen,and proper notice given that $$(just like the hydro) is NEVER touched as it's not mine. I am Not making any $$ off this(I usually pay a bit more some months) but im just hoping to find someone nice/honest/easy going that needs an affordable home with a lot of space. It would also be amazing to not have to drain my savings especially not needing all this space but CEST la vie
I know the rental situation is terrible right now,and the ONLY preference I have is renting to someone with animal(s) as it's already hard enough to find affordable places especially with an animal. There's also the option of if things go well,could ad a 2 Rd person and take the rent down to even less. I also have permission to paint the rooms whatever color one wants to.

Pic #1 upstairs exercise room,has Mats, mirrors,weights,an eppililptical and working on getting a stationary bike or rower. Also great place for thao chi,yoga or dancing
PIC #2 the bathroom. It's shared but I've never had issue(even with 4 +people in here) needing to use the bathroom and not being able to. And it's always kept clean
PIC #3 upstairs kitchen. I have a lot of spices and teas as I love to cook and it's always kept clean(,even if it looks like piles it's not,it's just 7 yrs of collected useable stuff. That's all paved exactly where I know everything is but cooking can be done up or downstairs. Plenty of space in both areas
PIC #4& 5are both sides of the double room that'll be empty and cleaned like the rest of everything else
PIC #5 is the furnished "guest room" that can be used for whatever one wants it needs it For
Pic #6 is the living room area and that's how bright it is without a light on so it's not a super dark basement. Just nice a and cold
PIC 7 is the kitchen area downstairs but either kitchen can be used to cook on(most would just cook downstairs in the summer because of heat and food being down there.I hope these pics are a bit better. (I WILL reply to everyone this time as I know what it's like to be stressed looking for a good safe place to call home and I thought I had someone but they dipped out a week before, and led me on for 3 wks,so here I am looking for another good person.
Last roommate is NOT leaving on bad terms,he just wants to be closer to his gf and family and has been here 2 yrs an he can vouch I give me space of that's what's wanted,- never ask for much hemp. Or I'm always down for a game of cards or divlce or Risk or just a good conversation. I also love to share meals. Very good location on Ellis Street right near Pen high school . you would have your own room. with a lock on it
it’s the biggest room in the house you could have your bedroom and your own living room in there if you really wanted to but you’re more than welcome to use the living room in the apartment. It’s very cozy. I was just suggesting it in case you wanted some of your own privacy there is a full kitchen but you provide your own food, also comes with washer & dryer, you provide your own laundry soap and fabric sheets if you choose to use fabric sheets .Internet and utilities are included in the rent
There is a bathroom of your own of your bedroom it’s only a shower
The bathroom shown in the picture is my bathroom because it’s the only picture I had in my phone as the previous tenant that was moving in.
Had already seen the unit and I just haven’t had time to take pictures I already these on my phone of the unit
The unit does not look exactly the same as the pictures as they were taken several months ago when I first moved in so things are a little different changed around and a little more put together, I would say
I don’t want any drugs or partying having a few drinks is fine stuff like that I’m just not into parties and there’s also other people in the building and they would not appreciate it so I’m looking for a tenant on the quieter side
The room is available ASAP. The rent is $ 900 per month on a month-to-month basis just because we don’t know each other and we don’t know if we’ll get along. I’d rather just keep it in a month to month until we get to know each other a bit better and see if it will work out
There is also a damage deposit half a months rent $450
