Farm Equipment Operator
Description
We are seeking a dedicated Farm Worker to join our agricultural team. This role involves hands-on work in planting, maintaining, and harvesting crops, as well as operating various farm machinery and tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a passion for farming and horticulture. This position offers an opportunity to develop practical skills in farm maintenance and crop production within a dynamic agricultural environment.
Responsibilities
Assist with planting, watering, fertilizing, and harvesting crops using appropriate tools and equipment
Operate farm machinery such as tractors, tillers, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
Perform routine maintenance on irrigation systems, machinery, and farm infrastructure
Use hand tools and power tools for various tasks including pruning, repairing fences, and installing equipment
Conduct general farm maintenance including cleaning, repairing, and inspecting equipment and facilities
Assist with soil preparation, pest control, and crop rotation activities
Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
Support the overall farm operations by heavy lifting of supplies or harvested produce as needed
Skills
Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery and equipment operation
Experience with irrigation systems and horticultural practices
Ability to perform maintenance tasks using hand tools, power tools, and basic repair skills
Knowledge of farm machinery operation including heavy equipment
Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to planting and harvesting schedules
Physical strength for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of manual labor
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety standards
This is a full time position ideal for individuals passionate about agriculture who are eager to learn more about farm operations while contributing to the success of our farming enterprise.
Pay:
$22-26 hourly/30-80 hours per week
License/Certification:
3A License (required)
