This unique volunteer position is pretty awesome... you can still work a day job and have a life. This position requires opening and closing the gate entrance every day. Walking around the campground at quiet time and again if necessary. Possibly assisting guests with a late arrival. Being available in case a guest may have an issue that requires immediate assistance in the middle of the night. We welcome a family with children, single individual or couples to join our team!

I am a 16 year old male I am around 6ft 6inches tall, I have good experience with doing physical labor. I have experience with lawn care, power tools, heavy lifting, drywalling, painting, and other general construction and maintenance jobs. I am willing to do almost anything that involves these things. I am an efficient worker who puts maximum effort into the task and will accomplish the task to the best of my abilities. I am not a very social person and will only ask questions if necessary. About the Role
Our HSSE Field Advisor is a demonstrated collaborator to work with a various group of people for the development and implementation of HSSE behaviour and culture in the operations and maintenance of the Asset. We are seeking an individual who enjoys hands on work that has extensive knowledge in the application of the HSSE manuals, processes, and procedures for our team to create injury free operations in a hazardous environment. This is a role for an individual that enjoys spending 50% of their time in the field.
The HSSE Field Advisor key role is to support the Asset HSSE team in the readiness, implementation, and monitoring performance of the HSSE Management Systems within the LNG Canada HSSE Control Framework. The HSSE team will be focal point for the processes and procedures delivered for the site to make it easier for our workforce to work safely were we welcome their insights and inputs. These will ensure that the controls we are creating within the HSSE Framework fit the task being performed on site.

You will use your expertise to:
- Supporting on site implementation of the Asset HSSE Management Plan, modelled on LNG Canada HSSE control framework.
- Support the operationalization of the transition systems with the collaborations of the Execute Team and the CSU team.
- Driving effectiveness and efficiency of the HSSE Management processes through interaction with people on site, listening and simplification of documentation, by reducing variability.
- Help in strengthening competence and the application of effective tools to support the delivery of the business HSSE outcomes.
- The Asset marine safety champion.
- Support the development and execution of the Asset’s Marine Operations plan.
- Support the development and operationalization of Asset’s marine operations policies and procedures, including but not limited to mooring and unmooring; vessel to shore (ship to shore) interfaces; small vessel operations including personnel transport/spill response; and safe access between marine facilities and vessels.
- Maintain awareness of marine incidents including local, regional and industry to keep the Asset Marine Operations and HSSE teams informed of relevant incidents and support their lessons learned.
- Support/Maintain excellent relationship with local marine regulatory bodies, joint venture partners, First Nations, Municipal/Regional Government, and coastal communities.
- Visible field leadership – presence in the field is critical for this role; engage with the workforce, be curious, utilize the learner mindset and ask for feedback on our ways of working. Validate what is going well to replicate and to seek for development opportunities – Create Performance.
- Support Asset HSSE team with on-site statistical reporting, monitoring, and analysis during the Transition, CSU, and Aftercare phases to create accurate and quality HSSE performance data for Business reporting.
- Support Asset HSSE team with marine incident investigations and incident reporting.
- Support and coach implementation of behavioral based programs including but not limited to: Job Hazard Analysis; Toolbox Talks; Safety Circles and Safety Moments.
- Support development and implementation of the Asset ER Plans and Protocols with specific focus on marine emergency response including but not limited to responses to loss of containment and spills to water at the marine terminal.
- Support Asset for coaching use of Sphera system (Reporting, Monitoring, and Quality Control on the Incident Management system). Challenging and Maintaining adequate Risk Ranking methodology.
- Support Asset HSSE team in Implementing and coaching of the SIMOPS Plan including MOPO, Hazardous Area Classification requirements, Physical area demarcation and roles and responsibilities, Fatigue Management and, Maintenance execution to ensure that the processes are in line with the LNGC HSSE & SP control Framework.
Additional role elements as organization becomes more operational:
- Perform continual inspection/field-walks and review of jobs for safe work practices (all HSSE aspects). Pro-actively ensure that all activities in the day-to-day operations are executed with no harm to personnel, environment and equipment and in accordance with agreed procedure.
- Perform Material Offloading facility (MOF) and marine terminal walk downs, marine terminal pre-arrival and post-departure inspections and reporting site deficiencies for awareness and rectification (i.e., Damage to facilities, maintenance issues, ergonomic design safety issues and failed safety barriers around the marine terminal)
- Support marine vessel quality assurance commitments including inspection, observation, and reporting
- Conduct and/or participate in Internal Assurance Audit Process, with focus on PTW, LOTO, LSR, PSF and Contractor HSSE Management auditing process.
- Implementation and support of HSSE initiatives such as campaigns, Coaching Based Intervention programme and HSSE alerts and learning’s cascade.
- Knowledge of and experience with coastal marine operational activities including vessel operations, port, and marine terminal operations, & Canadian Marine Emergency response system.
- Conduct and/or support initial investigation of incidents & near misses to enable a continuous improvement and learning culture.
- Identify HSE threats in the production unit and analyse common threats associated in the others onsite.
- Support on site HSE for all the turnaround and Major projects in assigned Areas.
- Review Asset investigations output to improve HSSE systems, processes, and procedure to support run and maintain activities that are resilient to cope with human errors.
- Be curious and communicate new Standards or Regulations are issued and/or published.
To be successful, you will have:
- Post-secondary degree or equivalent work experience.
- Occupational Health and Safety program from accredited university and technical school is desired.
- Marine Oil Spill Response Training, marine Canadian Certificate of Competency or Small Vessel Operator Proficiency, Marine Emergency Duties training, Marine Radio License, Marine First Aid is an asset.
- Ideally 5 years in HSSE Field experience with demonstrated progression in responsibilities preferably in marine terminal, port operations experience.
- Additional HSSE Field experience in complex heavy industry and/or large project application is also important.
- Strong passion for HSE, drive to build and change HSE culture.
