Looking for family-raised, tame, and healthy pedigreed baby Syrian hamsters? Consider Lavender Meadows Hamstery! We are in Richmond but our adopters are all across BC. Our waitlist is open for spring/summer 2024 as we are expecting lots of litters this season. All adoptions are based off the waitlist system (minimum 1-2 month wait) and require an application.
We are proud to be the only ethical breeder of Syrian hamsters in the Lower Mainland. We breed very selectively to produce the best quality Syrian hamsters that have a friendly, gentle, and natural kind temperament along with an improving lifespan (3+ years). 3 hours daily is spent socializing and caring for adults and babies from 14 days old onwards. All babies have been socialized with kids and people profusely. If you’re looking for hamsters that have been specifically bred for temperament and health, please reach out to us! Hamsters in the pet store are bred for quantity by rodent mills to make a profit. Mills maximize profits by using the smallest possible cages and cheapest supplies/food, thereby disregarding the well-being of hamsters. Mother hamsters are bred until they can’t be bred and then disposed of.
We work specifically with rex, long and short hairs, in the colours of chocolate, rust, black, golden, yellow, and silver grey. We also work with polywhite/banded patterns.
We do have high expectations for hamster care but no experience is required to adopt, only an open mindset!
Our hamsters are known for their chunky self (they hit 200g+ plus), and sassy, unique, and calm personalities. Our adopters have expressed great joy in the friendliness and longevity of our pups in contrast to pet store hamsters. We run off of a waitlist where the wait time is 2-5 months to ensure proper breeding practice. Adoption fee is 80 (65+15 deposit). This cost covers only a fraction of the amount that we spend on an average litter. Our hamsters are fed the best possible diets with fresh foods and all have large spacious enclosures.

1. Fill out the adoption application (link below). Message us on any of our platforms to speed up the reply process. There is a $15 non-refundable deposit that must be paid to hold your spot on the waitlist. This is deposit after we respond to your application (usually same day)
2. During the waiting period, adopters are expected to research hamster care and gather the necessary supplies. We have an online shop for supplies!
3. When the pups are ready for adoption, you will be either matched with a pup or be able to choose. Pups are matched based on personalities and what you are looking for. All pups are usually well-socialized and great with handling. The total adoption fee is $80, with $15 deposit and the $65 remaining is to be paid at the time of adoption. An adoption contract is to be signed at the time of adoption. If supplies are purchase, the adoption fee is $65 (15 deposit and 50 adoption cost)We are proud to be the only ethical breeder of Syrian hamsters in the Lower Mainland. Our goal is to produce the best quality Syrian hamsters that have a friendly, gentle, and natural kind temperament along with an improving lifespan that is above average. Since these hamsters come from a socialized environment, they go home being used to their new environment and ready to be handled and bonded with. Our hamsters are also an ethical alternative to hamsters from rodent mills sold in pet shops (think puppy mills).

This is Theo, he was born november 30th 2020. He is a netherland dwarf x holland lop, roughly 3.5lbs. one eye is pure blue and the other is half brown half blue. He is a skittish rabbit at first but does warm up and is an amazing bunny full of personality. He is super good around other animals. Rehoming because i dont have enough time for him unfortunately.
He comes with a mostly full bag of pellets from northern acreage

I know its a lot to ask. Looking for someone to be able totake in a momma cat with her 4 kittens. The ex left behind his cat as he was moving, and told me he doesn't care what happens to her, sadly. I would take her in if i had the capacity, but i am always busy with my sons health issues.
Shes a little over 1 year, shes sweet, shes timid, shes good with children (not super playful, but wont hurt them).
Not fixed, no vaccinations or vet visits, just the good old take the cat if you like her exchange.
