Quite private – on one side it’s forest, on the other the neighbour is 100 foot away and screened by the trees. Great place to enjoy cottage life and swim, hike and sing songs around the fire! Over 100' natural frontage with outdoor fireplace. KAYAK and CANOE for your enjoyment.
This is a housekeeping cottage, you must clean up before you leave as we do not have cleaners. NO PARTY ANIMALS PLEASE!
Great resort town of Huntsville only 20 minutes away. There are several golf courses in the area including Huntsville Downs. Our favourite Provincial Park is just minutes away - Arrowhead Park, with lovely walks to the small falls and so many great hiking trails! Algonquin Park is close enough to enjoy day tours, you can rent a canoe there and picnic among the trees made famous by the Group of Seven. For a night-on-the-town with dinner and entertainment, Deerhurst Inn and good restaurants are within 1/2 hour of the cottage. There is an excellent Tourist Info Centre about 4km north of Novar on Hwy #11 with helpful staff and lots of brochures detailing interesting places to go as well as upcoming events in and around the area. There are lots of antique shops, artist studios and galleries, first rate music festivals ranging from jazz to opera..... Huntsville has lots of shopping options, from major chains to specialty and organic. If you need more local shopping, Hope’s Clover Farm is only 8 minutes away with groceries, LCBO and a gas station.

We have a beautiful cottage for rent. It has a large sunken livingroom, modern kitchen, and dining area, a screened in porch-for those game nights, etc. We have large 4 pc. Jacuzzi washroom, a large master bedroom and an, outside deck-for smokers. We have a firepit, large grounds-and a small walk away, our lakefront (which is our own access). We have a screened Lakehouse for watching the kids, swim, read or play games, or watch those beautiful sunsets.
At the main cottage-we have High speed internet, Cable and Netfix. We have paved roads, and great nature trails. We are 5 mins from town and 20 mins from a large town. We will allow 1 dog. For those extra hot days, we offer Air conditioning. We have a basement in our cottage that has a washroom, laundry room and some bedrooms. We have all the ammenities of a city home.

The Twisted Root is expanding with 60 new sites. There are still about 30 available to choose from. All of the sites will be very large, well treed and will include 30 amp power, water hook-up, septic tank, and high speed internet. The park has many amenities such as The Boardwalk Grill, sandy swimming ponds, childrens play area, large screened in pavilion, bathrooms, showers and laundry facilities. It is located 45 minutes from the city, close to towns with all conveniences needed and close to the Sandilands Provincial Park with miles and miles of nature and riding trails. It is a family orientated park with lots of organized events throughout the summer weekends.
