With this program you get chance to spend a week in to try each of the following trades:
1) Electrical/Alternative Energy
2) Plumbing
3) Pipefitting
4) Welding
5) Carpentry/Passive Building
Must reside in the Red Deer area, EI eligible, over 18, legally entitled to work in Canada and able to commit to 16 weeks of training. Have a drivers license.
Powering Trades in partnership with Red Deer Polytechnic and the Federal & Provincial Government want to help employ you in the Trades.

We help you with you gain employment by assisting you in resume creation to target your trade, job search, Blue Print reading; AIT exam prep; you will receive tickets in WHMIS, First Aid, CSTS2020, AWP (Aerial Work Platform) & Fall Arrest enabling you to be work ready.
We place you in a 4 week Practicum to help you gain entry level Trades employment with a local Employer.
We are starting to recruit for a new class starting January 17, 2022 ending May 6, 2022
