Mother: Jack Russell x Teddy Roosevelt Terrier
Father: Mini Australian Shepherd x Border Collie
This was a very unexpected, once-in-a-lifetime combination, and the pups are best described as toy Border Collies. Based on their size and build, they will likely stay under 20 lbs and may not grow much bigger than their mother but will have long Border/Aussie coats like their father.
At Wright Gully Farm and Frontier Arts Club, we’ve been occasionally breeding our multi-generational Australian Shepherd x Border Collie pet/working dogs and our Jack Russell/Teddy Roosevelt Terriers for over 9 years. We focus on the very best qualities of our intelligent, loyal farm companions to produce well-rounded, family-friendly, highly trainable dogs.
All of our pups are lovingly home-raised as part of the family and are:
Extremely well socialized with people of all ages, from little children to adults. Comfortable with barnyard animals and everyday farm life and raised alongside multiple generations of their canine family
These pups have been dewormed multiple times since birth using a Strongid-T protocol and are used to having their nails trimmed. They are eager to please, quick to house train, comfortable outdoors, and quickly learning basic commands and good manners.
Our dogs are fed high-quality holistic organic dry food along with plenty of homemade organic dog cookies. We focus on building strong immune systems and balanced gut health. Routine veterinary care and vaccinations are left to adopters so you can work directly with your own veterinarian and choose the protocol you are most comfortable with.
Although we have never produced this exact cross before, this gorgeous litter of 6 has turned out beautifully. Most resemble small Border Collies in coat and colouring, with bright, affectionate, people-oriented temperaments. They are very intelligent, highly trainable, and moderate barkers, usually only vocal when excited.
You can meet both parents here on the farm, along with multiple generations of their lines.
In all our years of raising dogs, we’ve found that our pups choose their people. Because of this, we require that interested families come to the farm in person to meet us and the pups and see whether it feels like the right fit.
• We do not deliver or ship puppies
• We do not hold pups without a confirmed visit
• Appointments are first come, first choice
Each puppy goes home with a care package to help make the transition easy, including familiar food and treats.
