Rather private – on one side it’s forest, on the other the neighbour is 100 foot away and screened by the trees. Great place to enjoy cottage life and swim, hike and sing songs around the fire! Over 100' frontage, natural grassy area with outdoor fireplace, not a groomed beach. Lake really is clear and clean, fantastic for swimming, canoeing and kayaking and we have a floating dock for added fun. Canoe and kayak available for your enjoyment.There are several golf courses in the area including Huntsville Downs. Our favourite Provincial Park is just minutes away - Arrowhead Park, with lovely walks to the small falls and so many great hiking trails! Algonquin Park is close enough to enjoy day tours, you can rent a canoe there and picnic among the trees made famous by the Group of Seven. For a night-on-the-town with dinner and entertainment, Deerhurst Inn and good restaurants are within 1/2 hour of the cottage. There is an excellent Tourist Info Centre about 4km north of Novar on Hwy #11 with helpful staff and lots of brochures detailing interesting places to go as well as upcoming events in and around the area. There are lots of antique shops, artist studios and galleries, beautiful provincial parks, first rate music festivals ranging from jazz to opera.....
