THE ACCIDENT & MY JOURNEY
I have permanent nerve damage in my shoulder from a serious accident in Saskatchewan; I am now unemployable and a fighter I strived 3 difficult attempts with physio therapy, consulted with 3 orthopedic surgeons, in Saskatchewan and Alberta. I was informed that exploratory surgery would be dangerous due to the extent of the damage, rendering me without the complete use of my arm.
THE CURRENT CRISIS
I have 2 beautiful 11 year old fur babies who are my world. My monthly insurance benefit from Saskatchewan Government Insurance doesn't cover medical needs or transportation.
HOW YOUR DONATION HELPS
Your generosity would enable me to have the necessary pain relief to do daily tasks and enjoyment of life and a motorized scooter that has the arm rest on the side for easier transportation. I am unable to drive a vehicle, due to the nerve damage. A package of 10 SOLEI FREE SLINS is $23 CAD. 1 package lasts 4 to 7 days. A package of 30 gummies is $32 CAD will last 4 to 7 days. My name is Dianne Hoffman. I am organizing this fundraiser for myself; I sustained a permanent injury from a drunk driving accident and was left with permanent nerve damage in my right shoulder, leaving me with very limited mobility to perform the simplest of daily tasks. I have gone through physio, have consulted with 3 orthopedic surgeons, in Saskatchewan and through Calgary. No one would do any surgery with the fear of leaving me without the complete use of my arm. I have 2 beautiful 11 year old daughters..fur babies who are my world, and cares for them on my own. I receive a limited benefit from Saskatchewan Government Insurance, however, it is not enough to enable myself get medical assistance such as motorized scooter, walker, proper cane( lightweight with rubber bottom), and medicinal cannabis, CBD OIL, and herbs to aid in pain relief and inflammation. I was being given many different prescription drugs and ended up falling very ill from taking them; after consulting a Dr via HealthLine, I was told that the drugs had many warning signs and was told to immediately stop taking them. That lead to months of being sick and having vertigo, and starting research into natural herbs and medicine. I am now paying out of pocket for all my medicine. .. I was sent to Dr Lang, a pain specialist in Regina, SK by my G P in 2021 after I got sick. I was given a referral to get medicinal cannabis and Dr Lang submitted it to SGI. 3 months later, I was refused. I appealed and another 3 months later, was again refused, stating it was only used for cancer patients. This lead me down a whole different world of nature medicine. It has been a difficult long road to live as independent as possible while experimenting with different kinds of cbd oils, hemp oil, cannibus, gummies, and pre rolls. Different kinds have differing relief. My wish is to be as pain free as possible while continuing to enjoy life to the fullest as much as possible, and being able to care of my kids. Your generosity would help bring me independent aids, ongoing pain relief through various herbs and oils. July 2026 marks the end of my benefit from Saskatchewan Government Insurance, when I reach my 64th year. It was difficult writing this. Canadian Country Music Legend Carroll Baker bringing her final Canadian Tour to Regina!
Carroll Baker, "Canada's First Lady of Country Music" has announced plans for her final tour in the spring of 2025. After an extraordinary career she will grace stages across the country one more time bringing her cherished songs and signature performances to life "One Final Time".
Carroll Baker has been a powerhouse in the industry for over 55 years. Her remarkable career includes more than twenty #1 hits, fourteen albums, four compilation albums, and an astounding fifty five singles, solidifying her place as one of the most celebrated figures in Canadian music.
Carroll's final tour will cover more than twenty cities where fans will have the chance to experience the magic of her greatest hits and timeless classics one last time.
Her career launched in 1970 with her breakout song, "Mem-ries of Home", one that remained on the charts for an amazing twenty six weeks. Subsequent hits included “Ten Little Fingers”, and the AA anthem “One Drink Is One Too Many (and a thousand’s not enough)”. Between 1970 and 1982 she released 31 consecutive charting singles and hosted her own CBC television show, The Carroll Baker Jamboree. Her platinum album Hymns of Gold and five Juno Awards cemented her status as a country music legend. Baker’s accolades include induction into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame in 1982 and her appointment to the Order of Canada in 2009.

The grandmothers of sub-Saharan Africa continue to face inequalities and injustice. They want and deserve better for themselves, for their grandchildren, and for their communities.
