I’m looking for a person who wants to be in a very remote bush location caring for our two daughters (6 & 8) and cooking in a camp situation.We run our own hunting camp in the spring for about 6 weeks and in the fall for about 4 weeks when we’re not at home.Duties in camp include cooking dinner for guides and hunters, basic cleaning and feeding the kids during the day and bringing them to bed.There is cellphone service in our camp but no power. Just a generator. When we’re in camp you would have your own cabin and there is a central shower and some outhouses. Are you looking for a new career opportunity working on some of the world's largest mobile mining equipment? Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, our Mobile Maintenance Electricians are responsible for maintaining the electrical systems on a variety of mobile mining equipment including haul trucks, drills, and shovels in a shop and field environment. Teck has 4 operations based in the Elk Valley B.C. To be successful, we are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills, able to work independently and as part of a team, and has a willingness to learn and grow.
Responsibilities:- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Maintain, repair, and test electric or electronic systems and components on the mobile maintenance fleet
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on mobile mining equipment in a shop or a field environment
- Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Electrician Certification
- Valid driver’s license
- Familiarity with reading electrical schematics, prints and working knowledge of the Electrical Code
- Previous experience in an industrial environment is an asset

- Understanding of the trades and disciplines involved in site operations
- Sound computer skills, able to use word or excel
- Written communication skills – able to prepare work reports and job instructions
- Communicated effectively with a range of different people involved in the operations
- Willing to work on a wide range of tasks involving on and off-site work and often irregular hours
