Job Description:Well established building mover looking for a well qualified team lead to add to our crew. We are seeking a Team Lead in operations to become an integral part of our team! You will coordinate and oversee the organization's daily operations. Prior building moving experience is not necessary, as long as you are a competent learner we will provide you training. A partnership attitude is very important for any applicant to bring to this job, as it better encompasses the benefits and responsibilities we'd expect the team lead to fulfill. There is even potential for business succession in a few more years if that interests you. Position starts at $30/ hour base wage plus a pretty healthy bonus system based on production revenue of about an additional $25,000 per year. However that may increase with further inflation or more with a highly qualified as well as productive individual. We also provide good medical benefits with our group policy. Very rarely we will work weekends, with the goal for us to be home on most weekends. Ideally we want to work locally, so we are home almost every night. However some jobs require us to out of town for few days per month. A handful of times per year we might take jobs where we are out of town for a week, so long as the pay for such jobs - including for our staff - justifies it. Work is very interesting and never boring, each job is different from the previous one and poses different challenges with facilitating the work. Work days tend to be longer in the summer, shorter in the winter. Summer time work weeks are often up to 60+ hours per week. We are small family run business where you can make a big difference and be appreciated for your work. Much of our competition has dropped out of the local market the last few years, and we have a large potential for growth. We look forward to hearing from you! Responsibilities:Manage and improve day to day operational practices as well as job site proceduresAllocate staff, equipment, materials, fuel and other expenses to meet job or maintenance deadlinesTrack spent staff time, materials, fuel, expenses, and stand-by time.Provide daily operations and safety oversight for work crew Qualifications:Class 1 drivers license, crane licence, or mechanical aptitudes are a great asset but not required, we are willing to train the right applicants to receive their class 1 drivers licence.Previous experiences with construction sites, surveying, transporting oversized cargo, or as a crew chief desired but not required.Strong project management skillsStrong problem solving and critical thinking skillsStrong leadership qualitiesCompany Description:Bilsborrow Building Movers moves buildings around Edmonton and Alberta. We can relocate many types of existing structures, raises & lift structures, and re-level structures. We also support structures for foundation changes, repairs, or upgrades.
