Technology Architect - Senior
Description
Our large Edmonton-based government client has an immediate need for a Technical Architect for 10 months plus possible extension.
Contractors will be required to:
•Review and revision of audio visual designs, tenders and specifications to ensure the alignment with AV system functions and applicable design guidelines:
current system compatibility and future system strategies.
•Design and Architecture: develop new designs and specifications to best suit the current and future AV needs.
•Develop functional descriptions and technical specifications of AV systems for use in tenders, instructional material and specification documents.
•Work closely with procurement staff to develop new tender documents containing requirements as listed above.
•Provide expert Audio Visual advise.
Advantages
The resource will work remotely, though must be available for on-site meetings in Edmonton if required. Standard Hours of work are 08:15 – 16:30 Alberta time.

Qualifications
Mandatory:
M2 - The proposed resource must meet or exceed one of the following:
• University graduation in computer science, business, management, or a related discipline and 4-yr Technology Architect experience; OR
• 2-yr diploma in computer science, business, management or a related discipline and 6-yr Technology Architect; OR • 1-yr certificate in computer science, business, management or a related discipline and 7-yr Technology Architect experience; OR • 8-yr Technology Architect experience
M3 - 5 years Min. Experience designing, planning, and implementing audio visual technology solutions in an architecture capacity for an environment equivalent in size and complexity to the Government of Alberta.
M4 - 5 years min. Experience supporting and troubleshooting audio visual technologies.
M5 - Proposed resource must work from within Alberta, due to network and data security issues.
Standard Hours of work are 08:15 - 16:30 Alberta time GoA does not pay for travel to attend on-site meetings
Desirables:
D1 - 5 years Min. Experience executing strategies with technology, process, organizational design and IT operations.
D2 - 5 years Min. Experience working in an environment equivalent in size and complexity to the Government of Alberta..
D3 - 5 years Min. Experience with security concepts, designs, and implementations.
D4 - 5 years Min. Experience working with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external and in all levels of the organization.
D5 - 3 years Min. Experience developing tender requirements for Audio Visual projects.
D6 - 1years Min. Experience designing and implementing Crestron control and Video systems
D7 - 3 years Min. Experience designing and implementing Audio systems including mixers/amplifier specification, configuration, and commissioning.
D8 - Industry audio visual specialist credits such as: Crestron DM-NVX-N certification (preferred) or other Crestron, Extron, Biamp certifications.
D9 - Do you have related Canadian education (e.g. certificate, diploma or degree) or your foreign credentials certified by Immigration Canada, IQAS or any
accreditation acceptable to the Government of Canada or Alberta? **Provide information regarding certification of foreign credentials.
