Hi – my name is Chris. I recently graduated from Paul Kane, and would love to help your child improve their understanding of math concepts. I am available for in-person 1-on-1 math tutoring from grades 3-10 in St. Albert.
I come from a family of math tutors, and as a result have learned the math tricks that the kids who get the answers so easily on those exams use to understand and remember the concepts.I understand the struggle students face when the class moves faster than their needs, and with math, the snowball builds on itself and before the student realizes it, they are completely lost and feel helpless. There is a way to get them back on their feet, and I would love to help get them into their stride.
A typical session will be reviewing the recent material in class, performing and checking sample exercises, including any homework. I will work to find the points they are missing and fill in the gap. I show my students an easy way to understand and solve the math problems, so that they have a reliable way to figure out the answers on their own. We can also cover past material and set him or her up for success moving forward.
Math is essential to understand as the concepts will not only apply to this school year, but generally build upon the current concepts for future years. That means your investment into their math skills will pay back in dividends throughout the school career.
Let’s work together to break down the concepts to make it simple to understand, improve your child’s confidence and grades in math and any subject where they are struggling. There are ways to make math concepts much easier.

Hi!
I’m offering tutoring services, specializing in Physics 20 and 30, within the Spruce Grove & Stony Plain area. I can also tutor Math 10, 20, 30, 31, Chem 20, and Science 10.
I have several years of experience in the classroom as a full-time teacher. I’ve taught Physics 20, 30, Math 20, and other courses. I have lots of resources (including my own education website) and plenty of experience with Diploma Prep. I am fully-certified, with a Bachelor of Education, majoring in Physics.
My goal is to “teach you to fish”. What I mean by that is: I always try to help my students develop strong study habits and learn to become more self-sufficient over time. You’ll be able to apply a lot of what I teach in your other classes in the future, even at the university level.
I am able to meet in-home (as long as it’s relatively distraction-free) or in a quiet public spot. I will prioritize students in the Parkland County area. I will generally charge $35 per hour, but the way I tutor is fairly condensed, so you’re getting value for your time and money spent.
