What ever your interests you can do and learn anything you want from building shelters to growing and preserving all types of food etc. in this old time self sufficient setting. Everybody has an opportunity to develop their own skills and talents. This is an opportunity that will grow into a way of life for you. We have a lot of experience to offer people that want to learn, as this is the way we live year around. Even if you want to be a weekender and learn and do things related to this life style. It costs nothing to talk. Camping spots are always available. We are going to start up the garden now, and the are plots to do your own thing. The crux of it all it is all about life and self sustaining living skills. They have to be acquired by real life experience. I am going to do an experiment in planting potatoes seeds versus planting seed potatoes. Currently we are making lots of kefir and kombacha right now. I’m saddened to write this as we have been at our spot for the last 2+ years.. the owners have decided to officially sell the farm. We are two young, very hard working, dedicated people looking for somewhere new to call home. We live fulltime out of our 27ft fifth wheel with our four dogs, indoors cats, and 13 chickens. We have a 8 year old daughter who is with us on a part time basis. We own a landscaping and snow removal company, but would love to help out where ever needed. We are looking for a piece of land to rent near the Sherwood park or Beaumont area, to live, and save money for our own land. We haul our own water, and sewer. Power is not a must. We are desperate to raise money for our rental house in cold lake so we can finally make the move for my job with the Canadian Armed Forces (civilian) and my son can play for the cold lake fighter jets and be able to start his job. We have been on this battle for sure a long time and feeling helpless. We are all living in separate place which are both over crowded and not a good place for use to be. We are asking for kindness and help so we can be a family again in the same house and town. Every little bit helps.
I know I repost this a lot. I’m desperate to get my family in a forever home since we got scared out of our last one. I don’t want us (Mike,Sky,and baby Knox) living in separate home in different towns. Every little bit helps. We are three reputable musicians from other genres looking to try our hand at something new and fun. Currently we are writing as a three piece (guitar/vocals, lead guitar, and drums). Inspired by modern rock/punk rock bands like iron chic, Japandroids, the glorious sons, kings of leon, and foo figures to name a few.
We are all in our early 30’s and each have over 20 years playing our instruments and 10 years of recording and performing/touring experience with other bands. We are looking for someone around our age range with the same passion and desire to write, record, and perform music that we all can’t seem to get away from.
If this interest you, send a message or a text! No real recordings/demos yet other than some guitar scratch tracks but I can share low quality phone videos/recordings to get the idea across. You would be joining us in the writing stages with the intent of recording a full album later this year.
