Living and working on beautiful Manitoulin Island.
Designing exciting, locally focused menus.
Working in a collaborative environment interested in strengthening local food systems.
Monitoring sourdough starters for making naturally leavened bread.
Adhere to Heath and Safety protocol.
Control bakery costs.
Control inventory.
Work between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities in events and collaborative dinners/feasts.
Maintain and help create a sourdough bread program and potentially teach others, especially through an Indigenous internship program with a local, indigenous run greenhouse.
Work in developing sourdough pizza program that uses only local ingredients.
Is prepared for early morning, bakers hours.21/hr plus bonuses, plus gas money.

Living and working on beautiful Manitoulin Island.
Designing exciting, locally focused menus.
Working in a collaborative environment interested in strengthening local food systems.
Monitoring sourdough starters for making naturally leavened bread.
Adhere to Heath and Safety protocol.
Control bakery costs.
Control inventory.
Work between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities in events and collaborative dinners/feasts.
Maintain and help create a sourdough bread program and potentially teach others, especially through an Indigenous internship program with a local, indigenous run greenhouse.
Work in developing sourdough pizza program that uses only local ingredients.
Is prepared for early morning, bakers hours.21/hr plus bonuses, plus gas money.

Must have familiarity with whole animal butchery, working with local ingredients, 3-5 years fine dining experience, pastry experience, leading a team, catering large weddings, managing budget, controlling inventory.
