Babydoll Ram Lamb
Description
Black Babydoll Southdown ram lamb born March 3, he'll be ready to go mid-May. He is best to be raised for meat because has only one descended testicle. Babydolls, although they are smaller, make excellent meat lambs because they are very feed efficient, put on weight quickly and produce a nice meaty carcass.
To answer some questions I've had:
- Yes, he could probably sire lambs but it's not recommended. All his full brothers (same parents different years) were perfectly normal so it's probably not genetic.
- He is from triple registered parents but will not come with papers
- Yes, the other one may drop but it hasn't yet at three weeks old
- If it doesn't drop it is possible to have him wethered (neutered) but would require surgery.
