Daisy has amazing shiny, lustrous wool. It’s long, curly, a beautiful soft silver and surprisingly heavy! She is a really fun ewe to have around being curious, friendly and a real character.
Daisy is registered, 3 years old, halter trained to stand and mostly leads. Just sheared and wormed, she is free of keds, lice and foot rot.
Gotland sheep are rare in Canada. They are prized by fibre artists and handspinners for their lustrous, silky wool. Gotlands are a smaller sized sheep with a short tail that doesn’t need docking and polled (hornless).
I am keeping her sister and one of her lambs and downsizing my flock so she’s looking for a new home.
She has just been sheared, the other photos are older. Last photos are her daughter, Fern, a Valais x ewe and Babydoll ewes also for sale, check my other ads.

Annabeth, Registered Miniature Babydoll black yearling ewe, was born in February 2023. She is small like her parents, her dad was only 22” tall and Clover, her mom was a short 21”.
Her mom, Clover is exceptional because her wool has stayed black while most ‘black’ Babydolls lighten quickly to grey or brown. Annabeth is like her mom and is still black under the red sunbleached tips. This makes for a spectacular dark fleece and the Babydoll wool is so soft. She is a bit shy but typical of the food motivated Babydolls she quickly warms up to you if you have food and with one on one time and food bribery she'll become quite tame, I just haven't spent the time with her.
Babydoll sheep are perfect for the first time sheep owner with their delightful, friendly personalities. They are easy to handle and care for and always have a welcoming smile for you.

Assorted chicks. Set to hatch April 5th and available as day olds from the 6th. $6 each min order of 10, $5 each for orders of 50+.
My roosters are Ayam Cemani, Welsummer and Silkie. My hens are Ayam Cemani, Standard red layers, Silkie, Light Brahma and mixes between those breeds. The result are very beautiful hens/roosters. Many if butchered have the cemani dark skin and bone colouration. They are excellent layers and very independent aside from the silkies who are more delicate but make wonderful moms.
Assorted ducklings available set to hatch April 5th and ready to go after the 6th. $12 each for 10+ and $10 each for 50+.
Breeds are pekin, runner and mix between the two breeds.

Fern, a VALAIS BLACKNOSE x Gotland ewe lamb was born in 2023. Best known for being known as the Cutest Sheep in the World, Valais Blacknose sheep are also the friendliest and will follow you around like a dog hoping for pats, scritches and attention.
Fern is 50% (f1) Valais and with her people loving nature is a fantastic pet and fibre (wool) sheep and great for breeding too.
Fern (registered Gotland x Valais) will be a wonderful addition for anyone wanting fabulous, soft, curly, long wool with lots of luster (shine). She is very friendly and loves attention, even coming up to strangers to visit with them. She was sheared in the fall and has already grown 5-6” of wool. There is a small chance she is pregnant to a registered Cotswold ram.
$1400. Extremely rare the Valais Blacknose are just starting to be bred in Canada from imported embryos and semen.
First two photos are recent.
Located in Roberts Creek, a short ferry ride from Vancouver, BC. See more of our sheep at www.underthefeather.comAbout the Valais Blacknose sheep Valais Blacknose sheep are best known as the Cutest Sheep in the World. They are new to Canada and being bred up to purebred, there are a few purebreds imported as frozen embryos in Canada. Valais sheep are incredibly friendly and often described as dog-like with their people loving personalities. Ours are also very trainable and we are teaching Annie (Valais x Babydoll) how to do tricks like a dog, she quickly learned how to walk on a lead and is learning how to spin and go over ramps and the teeter-totter. Valais Blacknose have amazing wool and can be sheared twice a year yielding 6 – 8” long, soft, lustrous fleece. We carefully chose our ewes for friendly, easy going personalities over the wilder but closer in colour Scottish Blackface sheep that others are using to breed up with and this is paying off with in your pocket lambs.

Babydolls are miniature smiling sheep. We have carefully chosen our breeding stock and have some of the shortest ones around. Our ram was only 22” tall and their mom Clover was a short 21”. Clover was exceptional in how dark her fleece was. Most ‘black’ Babydolls lighten quickly to grey or brown, Clover has stayed very dark. These lambs are the same, they look reddish brown because they are sun bleached but underneath they are black. It makes for a spectacular fleece and the wool is so soft.
