Looking for a Reliable and Caring Nanny in Thunder Bay, Ontario
Description
As a single parent and recent widow, I am currently seeking a nanny with dedication, love and patience to assist me with taking care of my two precious daughters aged 7 and 9. This job opportunity will ideally suit someone studying or already qualified in teaching, early childhood education, or social work. (As I’m currently teaching part-time in the ECE program I cannot accept applications of anyone currently enrolled in the program)
A requirement for this position is prior experience working with children.
My daughters are energetic and creative, with interests ranging from art and baking to dancing and reading. They love to laugh, enjoy nature and have vivid imaginations. Their lively personalities are complemented by my two equally energetic dogs who you must be comfortable with.
Given the recent loss of their father, it would be beneficial if you can provide empathetic support during this grieving process, alongside engaging them in stimulating activities. Your responsibility will not only be to ensure their safety but also to contribute positively to their emotional well-being.
Aside from childcare, the role will also involve some light housekeeping, meal preparation specifically for the children, and possibly transporting them if needed. As such, having your own vehicle and a driver's license is compulsory. Furthermore, adherence to special dietary rules will be necessary, and you will be required to help with homework, do the children's laundry and maintain the kitchen's cleanliness.
I would like a candidate who can initially commit a few evenings during the week as well as weekends, with the potential to increase working hours over time. I am offering a competitive salary, reflecting the candidate's experience.
This position is a live-out, part-time opportunity, demanding less than 20 hours per week but may increase as trust and comfort are established. The need for your services is immediate and a CPR/First Aid certificate and clean criminal records check is a prerequisite.
