Looking for General Labour Helper
Location: Thunder Bay, ON
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time preferred (Part-Time options available)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
We are seeking a reliable, hardworking General Labour Helper to join our team in Thunder Bay. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our daily operations, assisting skilled team members, and ensuring our worksites run smoothly and safely.
While we are primarily looking for someone to fill a consistent, full-time Monday-to-Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, we also have flexible part-time hours available for the right candidate. If you are punctual, physically fit, and eager to work, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
Clean and prepare worksites by removing debris, rubble, and hazards to maintain a safe environment.
Load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and equipment from vehicles and transport them to work sites
Assist skilled tradespeople and operators with various manual tasks as directed, such as holding materials, basic assembly, and mixing compounds.
Safely handle and operate basic hand tools and power tools after proper instruction.
Always follow health and safety guidelines and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
Requirements and Qualifications
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including heavy lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, bending, and manual handling.
Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic. You show up ready to work on time every day.
Strong communication skills and the ability to take direction well from site supervisors.
Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Ownership of CSA-approved steel-toe boots is required.
Previous experience in construction, warehousing, landscaping, or general labour is an asset but not required as we are willing to train the right person.
