Wage range from $45-$50/hr depending on experience, product knowledge, skillset, Trade Certification, Training Certificates, etc.
Responsibilities:- Work in liaison with Project Managers & Superintendents in a professional success driven fashion
- Installing, repairing or replacing a variety of roofing systems
- Manage a crew of roofers and labourers
- Plan work methods and procedures daily, coordinate the supply of labour and materials
- Ensure that development of job is in accordance to job specs and safety requirements
- Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed
- Make sure that PPE is being used on jobsite according to regulations
- Use the JSA to identify potential hazards on the jobsite and relate these findings to their crew every working day
- Encourage immediate reporting of unsafe acts and/or conditions and acknowledge (in a positive manner) workers who do so
- Recognize and advise crew of unsafe working practices; train/enforce corrective action
- Conduct weekly inspections of the equipment and the jobsite
- Take every reasonable precaution to protect workers from injury and/or illness
- Ensure that safety violations are dealt with and result in warnings and disciplinary action
- Participating in health and safety training and manufacturers training
- Working safety on the job site, using and wearing proper PPE, and reporting hazards
- Previous experience in commercial/industrial flat roofing as a foreman
- Investigating, identifying and resolving roof leaks
- Intermediate English skills
- Ability to learn and follow our extensive safety policy
- Drivers license preferable drivers abstract required

Facilities Maintenance company is seeking a building operator, with some minor exterior custodial duties. About the Opportunity
Ironworkers Local 97 is looking for full-time Journeyperson Ironworkers - Generalists or Reinforcing to join their team. Projects will take place in British Columbia and the Yukon.
Day-to-day as a Journeyperson, your responsibilities could include:- Synthesizing information from a variety of sources, including blueprints, plans and written specifications, in order to select proper materials and the needed amounts for a project
- Using details from written plans and instructions from supervisors in order to securely bolt metal structures like beams and columns together
- Transporting heavy metal pieces from the ground level to a higher location using tools like cranes or working with other team members to help position pieces correctly
- Building steel structural pieces and components when working on a project that involves a large structure like a commercial building, a bridge, a highway, or other public works project
- Ensuring proper placement, balance, and alignment of structural pieces by using levels, laser tools or plumb bobs
- Transforming metal pieces into functional elements that meet the guidelines of the project by cutting materials and using fabrication techniques
- Accessing challenging work positions that are either at elevation or otherwise difficult to reach while following the proper provincial regulations
To succeed as a Journeyperson, you need to have the following skills and experiences:- Completion of a Red Seal Ironworker (Generalist) or Red Seal Ironworker (Reinforcing) ticket
- Ability to pass all types of screening before employment
- Physical endurance to complete the necessary tasks
- Knowledge of various types of materials and how to work with them

Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized or other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.

Interpret work order and technical manuals.
