Beautiful 48' West Coast Yacht For Sale
Description
Beautiful affordable, fuel efficient, classic west coast cruiser designed by the famous shipwright, William Garden, and built by Heiko Hansen in Richmond, BC in 1974. The lapstrake, double-planked mahogany, sleek hull is in excellent condition and is encased in fiber glass, keeping it strong, watertight, and allowing the vessel to achieve a 10 knot max speed with ease. It has a forward and aft berth, both with a separate head (shower in the aft head). Just aft of the door leading to the forward berth and 2nd head is the raised helm station with room for three to sit. Galley has a Dickinson propane stove with oven, electric fridge/freezer and galley food prep area with small bar area. Aft of the galley is an L-shaped seat and teak dining table to starboard with an easy chair to port. Moving aft there is a small corridor with a row of solid teak cabinets leading to the aft berth and head with shower. The aft berth also converts to a second seating area. All seat cushions/sectional is new (2020). Aft of this berth/seating area is a port side door to the covered quarterdeck. Topside is the command bridge and secondary steering with a huge deck aft of it, which can be used as a sundeck.
EQUIPMENT:
The vessel is powered by a single, two-stroke, non-turbocharged Shannon Detroit 6-71 diesel with only 2250 original hours on it! THIS ENGINE BURNS LESS THAN 2 IMP GALS PER HOUR and comes with 1300L of diesel on board with a 1500L total capacity. I had to keep dipping the tanks to believe it myself. Fresh oil change. Vessel has new bow/stern thrusters (new in 2020) for easy docking. Helm has working VHF marine radio, Garmin GPS and autopilot (not yet hooked up), spotlight control mounted on the forward deck. Vessel comes with a 4650W gas generator (new 2022) for those longer stays at anchor. 300' of anchor cable, 100' heavy chain and the remainder heavy rope. Electric windlass is controlled from the helm. Large capacity freshwater tanks and black water tanks, electric water heater for hot showers. New large starting battery (May 2022) Livingston dinghy.
