We are seeking a female LPN for my 6-year-old daughter, this position involves both working in our home and attending school. She has a tracheostomy breathing tube and a g-tube. Must be willing to be hired by Edmonton Public School Board.
Employment would start within the first 2 weeks of May (specific date undetermined due to maternity leave). The shifts would be FULLTIME day shifts. 10 hours per day, 7:00am-5:00pm. This is a ONE YEAR position covering a maternity leave. Location is Edmonton West. If the successful candidate is available earlier, child-specific training could begin in April on more of a casual basis until current LPN is off.
Reliable source of transportation (cancelling due to weather or lack of vehicle/ride will not be tolerated, taxi/uber would be expected if you can’t make your own transportation work), proof of LPN license, criminal record check and vulnerable persons checks are all mandatory.
Duties include trach suctioning, trach care, trach changes, g-tube flushes, medication administration, supporting all aspects of her education as you are not only her LPN, but also her EA at school, the successful candidate needs to be socially engaged, playful and fun. You’ll need skills in monitoring for medical emergencies both at home and school, watching for signs of distress and signs of aspiration as she is a significant aspiration risk and respond to those emergencies appropriately. Some training will be provided but the natural instincts to kick into problem solving mode is critical.
Hourly rate is $35-$40 per hour, depending on experience.

o Ensure stock rotation is completed and expired product is removed from the shelf and returned in accordance with standard operating procedures
o Maintain professional image (dress code) and conduct at all times
o Promote marketing programs as appropriate and required

o Follow Standard Operating Procedures and Pharmacist direction, and adhere to all legal requirements, including provincial and federal regulations and bi-laws

Caregiver needed to help a 24 year old young man with autism, learn valuable life skills at home and in the community.
We have day shifts, 11am-9:30pm, and night shifts, 9:30pm-11am. We are currently looking to fill three day shifts and 1 night shift per week (plus covering for other staff if needed). We are willing to be flexible on the days of the week that you are available and can discuss this further upon hiring.
A reliable vehicle is necessary for this position, as we live out of town. We live on a farm 20 minutes west of St. Albert and 20 minutes north of Stony Plain.
No prior training is necessary. You just need a strong will to help him achieve his best, enjoy the outdoors and a willingness to have fun!
He requires help with everything. Leisure, communication, toileting, exercise, bathing, etc. He is often awake during the night. He needs a lot of exercise throughout his whole day. He also needs to go into the community during the day to enjoy a variety of activities. For example: walking, swimming, museums, greenhouses, libraries, running, etc.
