Position Overview
Our culinary team goes the extra mile to ensure our guests are nourished with incredible food, so they can enjoy their ski vacation to the fullest. The role is heavily cleaning based, including daily deep cleaning tasks in the kitchen area.
The First Cook is responsible for preparing a packed lunch for the ski program each day, as well as preparing lunch for staff and guests at the lodge. The First Cook is a food-oriented individual dedicated to quality, creativity, and consistency.
This is a seasonal job opportunity. The CMH summer season runs from late-June to end of August. Daily rate of pay is based on an 11-hour day, worked as a split shift. A typical schedule consists of 2 weeks on and 1 week off. Accommodation is available while on shift, at no extra cost, for staff joining our team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Prepare and package lunches for the field program and for the staff and guests remaining at the lodge.
- Participate in menu planning, ordering, and receiving, as required.
- Attend all staff and department meetings, as required, including pre-service line-ups.
- Demonstrate tidy grooming and professional appearance.
- Safe and efficient food handling, knife handling, meal plating.
- Understand and maintain accurate kitchen stocking and dry storage rotation.
- Dishes, dishes, and more dishes throughout each shift.
- Daily deep cleaning tasks in and around the kitchen area.
- Perform radio duty, as required, to support field operations.
- Willingness to assist other members of the lodge team, as needed.
- Follow OH&S, food safe, and WHMIS best-practices.
- Support guests in the field program, as needed.
- Provide support for rescue operations when required.
Minimum Qualifications- Post-secondary education in hospitality field, preferred.
- Food Safe Certificate.
- Minimum 1 years' experience preparing sauces, dips, soups, sandwiches, charcuterie boards, etc.
- Minimum 1 years' experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Background in luxury hospitality or fine dining, preferred.

Scope:
The successful Heavy Duty Mechanics are responsible for the safe troubleshooting and repair of various types of heavy mining equipment. This includes Wiggle Wagons, Haul Trucks, Dozers, Graders, & Excavators. The Mechanics will form part of a larger maintenance team strategically working to support the maintenance plan. Technical and Education Requirements;

CAT and Komatsu dealer training, Fall Arrest, Confined Space, Hoisting/Rigging, Aerial Work Platform, Man Basket and Picker Truck training/experience would be considered an asset;
Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification;
Possession of a valid driver's license;
Must have CSTS & OSSA or BSO or CSO;
Proven safety training and exceptional safety record.

General Accountabilities:
Reporting operationally to the General Manager, the Mining Operations Engineer is responsible for technical management of on-going bulk earth moving work and other projects, developing and executing the quality management system, bid proposals, and new opportunities. - Review and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure performance and develop solutions to shortcomings;
- Provide various technical support to the on-site operations team;
- Stay current with engineering software, developing visuals that can aid in the planning of work;
- Develop internal and client reports and presentations that are professional and accurate;
- Provide support to the contract manager as relates to operations planning and invoicing;
- Promote safe work practices, ensuring any and all deviations are reported and corrective action is taken;
- Continuously manage business relationships with KMC clients by attending customer planning meetings, being engaged in new initiatives and addressing their concerns in a timely manner.

We are looking for a candidate to join our team performing transfers from various locations within Calgary, Red Deer and surrounding areas. This position would have 2 set evenings a week and every other weekend that you would be required to be on call and available.
Professional dress attire is required, clean class 5 drivers license, physically fit, able to lift 150 lbs. and training will be provided.
