FREE COMPUTER COURSE AT VCLA
Description
Valley Community Learning Association (VCLA) is offering a free computer course every semester. Semesters run from September to February, and from February to June.
This course is intended for those with relatively low computer skills.
There is no need for a computer; there is a computer for every student in the classroom.
Classes run Mondays and Wednesdays from 11 am to 2 pm.
Additional hours are available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for practice, help, projects, or questions.
Additional information: small classes, one-on-one help, very hands-on, using Windows 10, all major topics covered (Windows, email, hardware, file system, browsers, the web, office applications, etc.)
Lunch is provided at no cost for those interested.
Serious and committed candidates only, please. Attendance is very important.
There are a limited number of seats available. A cohort with similar skill levels will be selected from the available candidates. The students will be selected based on a first-come, first-served basis, so the sooner you call to register the better.
Intakes take place the week before the course starts. These are individual, short, in-person meetings with the instructor.
The course takes place at 118 Oakdene Avenue, in Kentville.
