I'm an aspiring professional pilot based in the Annapolis Valley and I own a well-maintained, CPL-equipped Cessna 150 (supported by a local AME). I'm looking for a freelance Class 1-4 flight instructor to take me from PPL through CPL in my own aircraft.

Group Violin Lessons: Summer Session 2026
Enhance your musical journey this summer with our Group Violin Lessons, designed to foster technical growth and collaborative performance. Led by instructor Aleksa Lear, these sessions focus on developing the essential skills required for ensemble playing.
Whether your goal is to join a formal orchestra or perform with a local band, our diverse curriculum offers something for every musical taste.
Program Highlights
Diverse Repertoire: Students will explore a wide range of styles, including celebrated classical masterpieces, familiar hymns, and traditional fiddle tunes.
Skill Development: Specifically tailored for beginner and intermediate players looking to refine their technique and maintain consistent progress throughout the summer months.
Ensemble Focus: Lessons emphasize the dynamics of playing with others, improving rhythm, listening skills, and group synchronization.
Schedule & Logistics
Duration: June through August (commencing the first Tuesday in June).
Time: Every Tuesday at 6:00 PM.
Session Length: 45 minutes.

Valley Community Learning Association (VCLA) is offering seniors (60+ year of age) free help with technology.
These sessions were made possible, and are funded, by the generous support of Eastern Kings Memorial Health Foundation.
Details:
• One-on-one 30 minute sessions
• Fridays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
◦ September to June only (closed July and August)
• Pre-booking is required (see below)
• Help is provided for any purpose related to technology
Examples:
• Working with your computer, laptop or any other device
• Accessing essential services online
◦ e.g. healthcare, government, banking
• Understanding some aspect of technology
• Advise about online safety and security
• Learning about methods of communication with family
• Finding information on the web
These sessions take place at 118 Oakdene Avenue, in Kentville.

3. The time you would like to come (from 10 am to 12:30 pm)

Valley Community Learning Association (VCLA) is offering a free computer course every semester. Semesters run from September to January, and from February to June.
This course is intended for those with relatively low computer skills.
There is no need for a computer; there is a computer for every student in the classroom.
Classes run Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.
Additional hours are available for practice, help, projects, or questions.
Additional information: small classes, one-on-one help, very hands-on, using Windows, all major topics covered (Windows, email, hardware, file system, browsers, the web, office applications, etc.)
Lunch is provided at no cost for those interested.
Serious and committed candidates only, please. Attendance is very important.
There are a limited number of seats available. A cohort with similar skill levels will be selected from the available candidates. The students will be selected based on a first-come, first-served basis, so the sooner you call to register the better.
Intakes take place the two weeks before the start of the courses. These are individual, short, in-person meetings with the instructor.
The course takes place at 118 Oakdene Avenue, in Kentville.
