Free Technology Help for Seniors, at VCLA
Description
Valley Community Learning Association (VCLA) is offering seniors (60+ year of age) free help with technology.
These sessions were made possible, and are funded, by the generous support of Eastern Kings Memorial Health Foundation.
Details:
• One-on-one 30 minute sessions
• Fridays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
◦ September to June only (closed July and August)
• Pre-booking is required (see below)
• Help is provided for any purpose related to technology
Examples:
• Working with your computer, laptop or any other device
• Accessing essential services online
◦ e.g. healthcare, government, banking
• Understanding some aspect of technology
• Advise about online safety and security
• Learning about methods of communication with family
• Finding information on the web
These sessions take place at 118 Oakdene Avenue, in Kentville.
TO BOOK A SESSION:
Send a message and include:
1. Your full name
2. The date you would like to come (must be a Friday)
3. The time you would like to come (from 10 am to 12:30 pm)
4. A few simple words about your needs
PLEASE NOTE: you will NOT receive a response if you click on ‘Hi, I’m interested’ or ‘When are you available to meet’
If the necessary information if provided, you WILL receive a confirmation if the time slot is available, or a reply with other available time slots.
