Female Parttime Caregiver

62 year old female with a neurological condition (ARSACS) who uses a wheelchair, looking for help with personal care and household management. Caregiver Responsibilities: 1. Assistance with transfers, dressing and undressing 2. Do range of motion exercises as directed by physiotherapist. 3. Do homemaking activities weekly as needed: cleaning floors, kitchen and bathroom; changing bed 4. Help with shopping meal preparation and baking. 5. Similar tasks at would be performed by one ’s self from time to time were it not for a physical disability. 6. Occasionally assistance to appointments.
Work Schedule: Daily: Mornings for 2 hours starting anywhere between 8:30 and 9:30, Evenings for 1 hour starting anywhere between 8 and 11 (times are flexible as agreed upon by the employer and employee)
Qualifications: - Previous personal care experience preferred. - Formal CCA or equivalent training preferred but not necessary.
Personal Qualities: • Reliable and punctual. • Able to understand verbal and written instructions in English. • Flexible and willing to accept direction. • Outgoing.
