Sunset Alpine is currently seeking an individual to join our small team as a shop & embroidery assistant! With advancement opportunities into embroidery full time, you will initially assist the embroidery team, along with shipping and receiving for the organization.
The ideal candidate will be able to complete tasks in a timely manner, and have an eye for detail. We expect this person to be organized and able to manage and maintain a clean and efficient work space, while being a great team player and working with other staff.
The hours are flexible and may vary depending on the season and current work load. Typical schedule is Monday - Thursday 9am-4pm. We are closed on Fridays, all holidays as well as two extended breaks, one in the summer and one over Christmas.
If you are at all curious on what the position entails, or the learning curve, please contact us. As mentioned, no previous experience is required! We're happy to train the right candidate.

Backroads, the leader in Active Travel, is seeking to build a diverse team of seasonal Trip Prep Specialists to work behind the scenes in tandem with Trip Leaders to ensure smooth Trip Logistics before and after each departure.
The TPS position requires someone with a systematic and methodic approach to numerous logistical tasks, self-sufficiency, organization, attention to inventory detail, ability to maintain the exceptional condition of all bike equipment and the desire to create a great working environment with Trip Leaders and global operation teams. The TPS role is based in the hubs of our many regions but does not work "on trip."
As a TPS, you will likely work 35 - 40 hours each week with the amount of work varying based on the number of departures. You will be responsible for preparing and managing bikes, vans, trailers and trip-related paperwork. TPSs may also be scheduled to transport equipment from one region to another on "unit drives." This may be a quick trip from Tuscany to Southern France, or a longer haul from Utah to Alaska.

Must be physically fit, love dogs, and be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Preference given to Canmore residents. Previous work as a guide or with animals as asset.
$16 per hour, plus gratuities and bonus. Duties include kennel work (feeding, cleaning, dog care, raking straw, shoveling snow, general maintenance), trail cleaning, and guiding a dogsled team with guests up to 4 tours per day. Long physical hours required along with working weekends. First aid/CPR certification is required, or must be willing to obtain.

The Stress, Interpersonal Relationships and Health Lab (SIRH) is looking for couples in which at least one partner is trying to change their diet and/or physical activity habits. The main goal of this study is to investigate how different types of couples’ behaviors influence change in eating and physical activity behaviors over time.
Participation in our study involves completing questionnaires and participate in a discussion task.
