Position Overview:
We are looking for a reliable General Labourer to help maintain and organize our busy construction rental yard. This is a physical, outdoor job where you'll assist with equipment handling, yard upkeep, and general labour tasks to support the team.
Key Responsibilities:
-Walking distance to Sperling-Burnaby Lake SkyTrain Station
-Yard Maintenance: Keep the yard clean and organized.
-Equipment Handling: Load and unload construction equipment.
-Equipment Prep: Stage and prepare orders for shipping.
-Basic Maintenance: Perform simple maintenance tasks like cleaning equipment.
-Inventory Support: Assist with tracking and organizing rental items.
-Customer Service: Help customers by preparing their rental equipment and answering questions.
-Safety: Follow all safety guidelines and report any hazards.
Qualifications:
-Physical Ability: Capable of lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), standing for long periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
-Certificates: A valid forklift operator license is preferred but not required.
-Experience: Previous labour or construction experience is a plus but not required.
-Team Player: Able to work well with others and follow instructions.
-Safety Minded: Knowledge of basic safety rules.
-Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is preferred but not required.
-Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Safety boots, and hard hat mandatory.
-Fluency in Spanish an asset
