Right now it’s basically just PlayAlberta, but multiple licensed platforms are expected to launch and some are already offering pre-registration.

I am writing to you today to bring a matter of significant concern to your attention regarding a fellow student and peer, Justin "Soncho" Austin.
The purpose of this correspondence is to provide transparency regarding ongoing legal proceedings and serious allegations involving Mr. Austin. It is important that a community dedicated to the betterment of society is informed of the conduct of its members, particularly when that conduct stands in direct opposition to the values of safety, integrity, and mutual respect.
On Tuesday, May 11th 2026, at 9:00 AM, a court hearing will take place to address a history of domestic grievances and harmful actions allegedly committed by Mr. Austin against my family. These include:
Coercive Conduct: Allegations of predatory behavior and the endangerment of a minor.
Domestic Volatility: Incidents involving harassment, the destruction of sentimental property, and unauthorized entry into a private residence.
Misuse of Public Resources: The filing of false reports that diverted law enforcement and emergency services away from legitimate needs.
We often speak of a legal system, but a true justice system relies on the collective conscience of a community. While the courts will handle the legal ramifications, the social and institutional standards of your college are upheld by you—the student leaders and peers.
I encourage you to consider this information as you continue to foster an environment of accountability and safety within your institution. We have the collective power to demand higher standards of conduct from those who represent our community.

Hello,
we are trying to find a person for legal reasons. We have been provided phone number, address, and employer, but they have since been terminated from their employer, do not respond to any calls or texts, and we have not been able to get ahold of them at their address. We are hoping that this may be a way to help us find new information for them, with a big hope on finding their employer, so that we can reach him directly.
The man's name is Faami Ahmed, and he will be 33 on New Years Day. He was working at JBS, but was terminated in June 2025.
The reason we need to find this guy is that we have court papers to serve him. We had to go to court, but he refused not to show up, even laughing in our teen daughter's face when he was served, saying that there is nothing we could do, and nothing the courts can do. Well, we have papers from the court regarding a judgment, and he needs these for his records.
Where did this come from? Well, this person had sped through a playground area, smashed into my teen's car, pushed it up onto the sidewalk, wrote the car off, then drove off when a witness told them to go up to the house and inform my teen what happened. Fortunately, the witness followed this person and got their plate and where they drove to. We involved police and this person gave insurance information, but it was not valid. The police did not bother to check on the insurance status. Without the insurance, this left my teen without a vehicle, as she only had liability, as most teens do. Additionally, she was stranded in Brooks with needing to return to Lethbridge for school. The driver returned later that day in one of his other vehicles to view the damage and a promise to pay, but then he refused later on.
After I argued with police for nearly a month, they finally looked into the lack of insurance. I also pushed them to look into the fact that the guy fled the scene and only returned after police located him. With a little pushing, they finally agreed to lay charges of hit and run and driving with no insurance. So, when the driver went to court and plead guilty to the charges, we served him with court papers. He and his friend laughed and said they don't need to show up and the courts couldn't do anything. I now know the reason he thinks this is because this was not the first time this guy has been charged and found guilty of driving with no insurance. He has multiple convictions and has not paid the court for these.
We ended up winning a judgement, although it didn't cover even half what we paid for the car. So, we thought maybe we can make a post in various places, seeking information from the public. Maybe someone will know where he works so we can bring him the papers.
If anyone is able to help us, we would be extremely grateful. We can not afford to hire anyone to search for him. This is our next best option.

This is really hard for me to write, but I don’t know what else to do right now.
I’m a single mom, working every day trying to hold things together for myself and my teenage daughter. I’ve always found a way to make it work… but lately, I just can’t keep up. After paying bills, there’s almost nothing left, and I’m struggling to put food on the table.
As a mom, this hurts in a way I can’t even explain. Not being able to provide the basics — groceries, toiletries, and even simple things like feminine products — makes me feel like I’m failing her, even though I’m trying my absolute hardest.
I’m also not able to get to the food bank right now, which makes things even more difficult. So I’m reaching out, hoping maybe someone out there can help us get through this rough patch.
If anyone has anything to spare — food, hygiene products, or even just advice or resources — it would mean more than you know. Even sharing this post could help us reach someone who might be able to.

Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Our Lady of Sorrows) - free information
Why this devotion? The purpose of the Devotion of the Seven Sorrows is to promote union with the sufferings of Christ, through union with the special suffering that Our Lady endured because she was the Mother of God. By uniting ourselves with both the Passion of Christ and His holy Mother, we enter into Jesus’ Heart and honor Him greatly. He is more honored because we have so honored His Mother. According to Saint Alphonsus de Liguori (The Glories of Mary) it was revealed
to Saint Elizabeth that at the request of Our Lady, Our Lord promised four
principal graces to those devoted to Her Sorrows:
1. That those who before death invoke the divine Mother in the name of
Her Sorrows will obtain true repentance of all their sins;
2. That He will protect all who have this devotion in their tribulations,
and will protect them especially at the hour of death;
3. That He will impress on their minds the remembrance of His Passion;
4. That He will place such devout servants in Mother Mary’s hands to
do with them as She wishes and to obtain for them all the graces She
desires.
In addition to these four graces there are also seven promises attached
to the practice of daily praying seven Hail Mary’s while meditating on Our
Lady’s Tears and Sorrows. These seven promises were revealed to St. Bridget
of Sweden:
1. “I will grant peace to their families.”
2. “They will be enlightened about the divine Mysteries.”
3. “I will console them in their pains and I will accompany them in
their work.”
4. “I will give them as much as they ask for as long as it does not oppose
the adorable will of My divine Son or the sanctification of their
souls.”
5. “I will defend them in their spiritual battles with the infernal enemy
and I will protect them at every instant of their lives.”
6. “I will visibly help them at the moment of their death — they will see
the face of their Mother.”
7. “I have obtained this grace from My divine Son, that those who
propagate this devotion to My tears and sorrows will be taken directly
from this earthly life to eternal happiness, since all their sins will be
forgiven and My Son will be their eternal consolation and joy.”

Im stranded in amherst with not enough gas in my car to get home and able to get back to a town without running out of gas. I just lost my job last night so the money I was counting on today to put gas in my car I wont be getting but HAD to come to town for the foodbank. I dont know what to do. If anyone is able to help with either gas money or if anyone would meet me at a gas station to out gas in directly it would be soooo very appreciated. I can pay it back on the 19th! Please help me make it home to my family!
