Job Description:
-Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs
-Detect and diagnose operating issues in frames and steering mechanisms, engines, transmissions, brakes, ignition, axles, fuel systems, engine management systems, electrical systems, emission control systems, air conditioning/refrigeration systems, and hydraulics.
-Adjust, overhaul, repair and reassemble engines, transmissions, clutches, rear ends, differentials, brakes, drive shafts, axles and other assemblies.
-Perform preventative maintenance services and Annual Safety Inspections
-Perform computer diagnostics to diagnose and isolate faults.
-Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology and repair techniques
-Adhere to safety policies and standards
-Maintaining required tool to perform dutiesSuccessful applicants will possess:
-A valid 310T license in good standing with the College of Trades
-A valid driver’s license
-Ability to work independently in a fast pace environment
-Strong attention to detail
-Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
-Ability to work a rotating/on call schedule
-Maintain a safe, orderly and clean work environment
-Strong geographical knowledge of Eastern Ontario
-Ability to supply his/her own tools

Responsibilities
En tant qu'électromécanicien vos responsabilités seront les suivantes:
• Exécuter toutes tâches reliées à l’entretien mécanique et électrique préventif et correctif des pièces d’équipement
• Exécuter toutes tâches reliées à des installations permanentes et temporaires mineures de pièces d’équipement et autres accessoires.
• Former, au besoin, et transmettre toute information d’opération nécessaire aux autres électromécaniciens au sujet des composantes mécaniques et électriques, dans la mesure de leur propre formation et connaissance.
Qualifications

Job Duties- At SMS Equipment, our Heavy Equipment Technicians responsibilities include but are not limited to:Performing assemblies, preventative maintenance, repairs, and complete overhauls on heavy equipment. Interpret work order and technical manuals.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized or other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
- Make recommendations regarding extent of repairs and suggest methods of improvement.
- Have a strong awareness and attitude towards workplace health and safety.
- Motivated and able to work in a challenging environment with minimal supervision.
- Work remotely in adverse weather conditions. Job tasks may be physically demanding and require lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Having experience on mining equipment is an asset.
In addition to our Technicians Journeyperson certification status, their qualifications include:- Strong commitment to safety
- Experience in repair/maintenance of heavy equipment
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Some positions may require the ability to travel and meet customer site requirements

Looking for full time permanent construction Helper to perform following job duties and responsibilities:
Work involves Climbing ladders, moving heavy coil material and working on heights.Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas
Assist tradespersons such as carpenters, roofers and glaziers in construction activities

Reporting to the General Manager of Piping, you will be responsible for supporting all phases of the project life-cycle, including: identifying opportunities, tendering, front-end planning, execution, and close out.
This role involves working on a variety of commercial and industrial projects (ranging from the tens of thousands to multi-millions), and involves tasks such as analyzing costs, planning and scheduling, monitoring progress, and handling project changes.
Your main duties will include, but are not limited to:- Compiling, analyzing, and completing tender documents for review and submission
- Reviewing request for proposals (RFP) issued by clients
- Developing subcontract, proposal, and estimating strategies
- Ensuring estimates align with execution and cost management requirements
- Interpreting documentation, specifications, and drawings using technical experience
- Preparing detailed, accurate estimates through quantity take-offs, equipment, and labour rates for tender verification
- Reviewing and evaluating vendor and subcontractor quotes
- Attending and participating in site-visits, pre-bid, and post-bid meetings
- Establishing and maintaining vendor and subcontractor relationships
- Reviewing final estimate packages for accuracy and completeness
- Communicating successful tender information and contract changes to the operations team and setting delivery plan
- Completing bid certifications before submitting tender documentation
- Supporting both site and office requirements
- Completing project close outs
- Performing other operational duties as needed
To qualify, you will need 5 years of combined experience that include estimating and field background in mechanical, pipefitting, HVAC, sprinkler-fitting, and/or plumbing, preferably in commercial and industrial construction. Experience in civil, structural, or other divisions would be an asset.
To successfully perform, the following will be essential:- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, process, control drawings, and single-line drawings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Project
- Knowledge working with estimating software/CAO
- Solutions-focused mindset and strong analytical thinking
- Background in operating a safe, efficient, and productive work environment
- Valid driver's license
- Technical diploma from a recognized institute, or a degree in mechanical or engineering
- Journeyperson ticket in plumbing or pipefitting
- Background working with a mechanical contractor
- Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) experience
- Knowledge of other construction trades
