This is a very well-designed attractive villa. There is great attention to detail in both the furnishings and layout. We were both impressed by the tasteful decorative touches from the dried flowers to tile mosaics on the walls. An example of the design is the large built in closets in the upstairs bedrooms. I have never stayed in a rental with as much closet and drawer space. The property was extremely clean and well-maintained. The beds were all comfortable. The villa is spacious both in the grounds and inside. Where some may have been tempted to have 4 or 5 bedrooms, the 3 good sized bedroom and large living areas given a certain dignity and sense of spaciousness. The kitchen was well equipped as far as pots and pans, dishes and cutlery. The appliances all worked.
There was a beautiful view of the valley from this hillside location from both inside the villa and the outside terraces and pool deck. One can see Alvor, Lagos and Portimao along the coast and amazing twinkling lights at night time. The villa and around the pool deck is very private. The villa is set well back from the road down a steep dead end lane and so no passing traffic. The location gives a sense of peacefulness.
We walked into the lovely town of Monchique a few times and also ate at the nice restaurant at the top of the lane - O Luar da Foia, rated highly in Tripadvisor. You need to be reasonably fit given the road is steep. Monchique has a large modern InterMarche supermarket and some smaller grocery stores and butcher shops. There are also a number of pleasant cafes. There is a large shopping mall in Portimao. A car is recommended. If you have one, the villa makes a good base for exploring the region.
The west coast is about 30 min away by secondary road, while Portimao and the A22 main tollway is about 15 min south. We went as far as Odeceixe in the north west. Despite the weather during or stay in November, we were able to use the pool a bit when the sun was shining. We would not hesitate to rent from Nigel again. He was easy to deal with and extremely responsive to any questions. Given its high quality, the villa is a real bargain in the low and shoulder season. Highly recommend it.-TripAdvisor

3 bedroom , 2 bathroom house steps away from the pools and beach in a 24 hour secure complex. Malaga Playa Bejuco is on a blue flag beach and across the street from grocery store, ATM, doctor, pharmacy , many restaurants etc the property is 20 min from Jaco and 40 minutes to Manuel Antonio national park, 1.5 hours from San Jose airport.
The house features three bedrooms, master with a king bed and private bathroom with shower, TV and sliding doors. The other two have queen size bunk beds, both top and bottom are queens. All rooms have wall to wall closet. The bunk rooms have sliding drawers under bed. The main bathroom has a large shower and this house boasts hot water and its own water tank for the days the city turns water off, you will not be without. The yard is fenced for any animals coming. My yard is one of 3 that face a green space in the back yard, we have a lovely private back yard with lots of shrubs and shade trees. Air conditioning in the three bedrooms.
Kitchen is equipped with all appliances. New double door fridge, stove with oven, washer dryer, microwave, toaster oven, kettle, rice cooker and coffee pot as well as many pots and fry pans.
Back yard is fully fenced with a large table and furniture under a cover so it’s fully shaded. Sliding glass doors to patio.Living room and bedroom have a smart TVs with all channels including all ESPN. Wifi is excellent. A wagon to take items to beach etc is available for use as well as beach chairs and boogie board and hammock. The surfing waves in front of our beach are some of the best and least known waves. Pros surf here.
The beach area for residents is private with many palm trees to hammock from and get shade. There is a snack shop on the beach. The property has 6 pools including a lap pool and children pool. There is also a basketball court, soccer pitch, 2 children’s playgrounds, fenced dog area, tennis court and lots of green space.
If you are not bringing vehicle there is a bus stop outside the property on the main road for buses to take you all the way to airport with stops in Jaco etc or down the coast all the way to pavones.
Two car drive way. Pets welcome. Please note price is US dollars . Depending on length of stay there can be some wiggle room.

This is a very well-designed attractive villa. There is great attention to detail in both the furnishings and layout. We were both impressed by the tasteful decorative touches from the dried flowers to tile mosaics on the walls. An example of the design is the large built in closets in the upstairs bedrooms. I have never stayed in a rental with as much closet and drawer space. The property was extremely clean and well-maintained. The beds were all comfortable. The villa is spacious both in the grounds and inside. Where some may have been tempted to have 4 or 5 bedrooms, the 3 good sized bedroom and large living areas given a certain dignity and sense of spaciousness. The kitchen was well equipped as far as pots and pans, dishes and cutlery. The appliances all worked.
There was a beautiful view of the valley from this hillside location from both inside the villa and the outside terraces and pool deck. One can see Alvor, Lagos and Portimao along the coast and amazing twinkling lights at night time. The villa and around the pool deck is very private. The villa is set well back from the road down a steep dead end lane and so no passing traffic. The location gives a sense of peacefulness.
We walked into the lovely town of Monchique a few times and also ate at the nice restaurant at the top of the lane - O Luar da Foia, rated highly in Tripadvisor. You need to be reasonably fit given the road is steep. Monchique has a large modern InterMarche supermarket and some smaller grocery stores and butcher shops. There are also a number of pleasant cafes. There is a large shopping mall in Portimao. A car is recommended. If you have one, the villa makes a good base for exploring the region.
The west coast is about 30 min away by secondary road, while Portimao and the A22 main tollway is about 15 min south. We went as far as Odeceixe in the north west. Despite the weather during or stay in November, we were able to use the pool a bit when the sun was shining. We would not hesitate to rent from Nigel again. He was easy to deal with and extremely responsive to any questions. Given its high quality, the villa is a real bargain in the low and shoulder season. Highly recommend it.-TripAdvisor

On the ground floor there is a bedroom with twin beds, en-suite shower room and ample wardrobes.
