Quebec Mechanical Inspected, 1998 Georgie Boy Pursuit Model 2601, 26’
For the last 6 years, we have owned and travelled in this unique-length -- 26-feet -- Class A motor home. This shorter designed motor home allows for better maneuverability in campgrounds, traffic, and in downtown parking areas. We found this RV gem with low kilometers on PEI. For two years, we shared a few journeys with our son to both the U.S. and eastern Canada. It was a comfortable family experience with a twin above-cab bed. Since becoming empty-nesters, my wife and I have ventured across Canada and the U.S. Now, we would like to focus our travels to international destinations as we continue to explore new horizons.
This Georgie Boy motor home sits on a Chevrolet chassis and is powered by a Vortec 7.4L (454 cu in) V8 Chevy big-block gas engine, one of the most stout and reliable engines that Chevrolet ever created, with some reaching over 300,000 miles (482,803 km). (The current mileage is about 137,464 miles (221,219 km.) There is a walk around queen-sized bed in the back and a single drop-down bed over the front seats. The table also drops to form an additional sleeping area. To add comfort to our ride, I installed Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 rear air springs with its own onboard bluetooth-controlled compressor. In the front, I upgraded the front coil springs and installed a new Supersteer P30 bell crank and steering damper shock to improve handling. Also, all four shock absorbers have been changed, all six tires were recently replaced, and a TST tire pressure monitor system was added. The battery charger has been upgraded to a multi-stage PowerMax charger. I replaced both deep-cycle cabin batteries in November 2022 and the engine battery in 2021.
