Many talented musicians find themselves stuck at the "final mile"—turning a melody into a finished song with lyrics that carry actual weight. I am a dedicated lyricist and song architect.
I specialize in the "Bernie Taupin-style" partnership: I provide the conceptual and narrative foundation for your music so you can focus on the composition. Sometimes, even a single word can heighten the impact of an entire song. I write lyrics that respect your meter, protect your phrasing, and avoid the over-polished clichés of modern radio.
HOW WE WORK:
— WORD-FIRST: I provide finished lyrics and themes for you to set to music.
— MELODY-FIRST: You send a scratch track, and I build a lyrical world to fit the cadence and "drive" of the track.
— STRUCTURAL POLISH: For songs that are "off-spec" and need a thematic overhaul or tighter syllabic work.
THE AESTHETIC:
My writing is raw, authentic, and grounded. My recent work on my 8-song EP, "AS IS. For parts.", focuses on character and grit over radio-friendly gloss. I bring that same "parts-and-all" honesty to every collaboration.
THE PARTNERSHIP:
I provide master lyrics by hand to ensure the cadence and "shine" of the story are preserved. If you want to feel the rhythm, you have to read the ink.
