Hi there! My name is Latoya E, and I used to be a registered massage therapist. Through this practice I realize that most people just want someone to talk to and help them with things around the home annd be in the company of other people, especially with my elderly clients.
So I started a very small practice called, A Friend for Grandma. At AFFG, I provide 2-3 hour sessions where I visit the homes of some of my former elderly clients as I am no longer treating them through massage; however I do treat them with companion therapy.
Companion therapy was a term I coined because it just made sense! Ever since the pandemic a lot of our elderly ended up alone and many fell into depression that seems to be lasting longer than the pandemic itself!
I offer help around the house with light chores ( light sweeping, getting things from unreachable places, or cleaning up some dishes but I don’t do a whole house clean), some time to sit down and chat about anything that feel needs to be talked about, and genuine friendship so that they know they are not alone anymore.My prices are as follows:
