Muskoka Language International (MLI) is looking to hire a temporary, contract Program Coordinator for a group of Japanese students visiting Nanaimo. Some of the Program Coordinator's role will include: - Liaising with Head Office Pre-Program, During and Post Program - Assisting with the coordination of activities with Head office and Local School listed on itinerary - Being Present and being the main contact between Head office and Local on site staff Other Programing Responsibilities will be detailed in the interview process. We ask that applicants be reliable and have a strong ability to deal with change and adapt quickly. Being Team player and also great at problem solving would be a great asset. Previous working experience with International Students is considered a strong asset. This contract position could lead to future contracts for future programs in the Nanaimo area.
Seeking a college student to serve as a companion to a retired BC Cabinet minister in Nanaimo. Gentleman is ambulatory and living semi-independently but needs someone to visit 4 to 5 days per week (10-15 hours a week) to help with light chores, errands, going on walks together, engaging in conversation on common interests, and sharing simple meals. No medical training needed. Must be a current college student. Must have a car to drive the senior on errands in town (stipend provided for each trip).
