I am 34 and I live in St. John’s. I’m just looking for a friend or acquaintance, someone to play board or video games with, or someone to walk around town with and have a chat.
I am also interested in reading, repairing electronics, hiking or walking, other outdoor activities that just get me out of the house, and just watching tv or movies. Can travel or willing to travel to meet if you live in central Newfoundland since I often go back and forth to Gander, Grand Falls, or other communities in that area too.
Let’s have a coffee later or we can just text / email each other if you prefer that. Reply to this ad and we can work out the details. Some of my images are included with this ad.
It’s difficult to describe what I’m really looking for in a friend but I would have to say someone that is more introverted like I am because it seems rare to find that in Newfoundland. I already know many people that are extraverts. An introvert though is often a more quieter person or someone that just enjoys spending most of their time alone . They might enjoy reading, watching tv, playing video games, or other indoor activities such as arts / crafts or painting. But there are many definitions for being introverted. Some introverts are less shy or quieter than others might be for example. And some introverts can still be very talkative when they are around other people. Many introverts might also work in a research type of job or a library or office environment.
The longer that I live, I just realize that some of the better memories I have ever had with someone was usually when I was spending time with another introvert that I knew back in high school or other times when I was still a teenager. We could always talk the hours away about any topic easily. Never seemed to get bored of the conversation or each other’s company either. Even simple things like just going for a walk or on a hike seemed to be more enjoyable when I did that activity with someone that really understood me as a person. I don’t think I’ve ever had that experience with anyone for at least 14 years now though. Every introvert that I ever knew seemed to just vanish after high school graduation. I assume they all just moved away to the mainland.
So I’m just hoping to find a small number of friends that might fall into that category. Not looking for dating or anything beyond friendship. Maybe I would only consider dating someday if you were single and I knew you for a long time. I probably sound somewhat depressed but I know if you are another fellow introvert like myself and you are viewing this ad, you probably know what it’s like too. That feeling of just never being able to find anyone else that really has much of a connection with you, or the feeling of never being able to find a friend that shares any of your thoughts, hobbies, or interests in the province. Alot of days, I just wake up and the first thing that I say to myself is here goes just another day with no one to spend time with and then I feel miserable. I think I just miss conversation more than anything else. But we live in a society now where many people seem to actually hate conversation. Ask me how that makes sense, lol. I have no idea. Oh well.
I don’t know if someone like you really exists anymore, a part of me has lost all hope that I’ll ever find a friend like you. But if you are actually reading this, then maybe I will be proven wrong and you will reach out and say hello. We can go get a coffee and play one of your favorite board games for a first time meeting or decide on some other activity that you might enjoy. Take care.

We are looking for people born between 1946-1965 to take part in a study of leisure, work, and life transitions. While many baby boomers have begun to retire, others are unable to retire or are choosing not to retire for a variety of reasons. If this sounds like you, we want to learn from you. As a participant in this study, you will be asked to participate in an online blog with others in your generation by sharing your experiences and perceptions of leisure, work, and your decision not to retire. Your participation would involve 4 sessions per year for three years, each of which is approximately two weeks. You will be asked to log on to the blog about 5 times in each session. You can create new posts and/or comment on the posts of others. If you volunteer to participate, you will be contacted by a researcher to help you set up an account and get comfortable navigating the blog. In appreciation for your time, you will receive a $50.00 gift card annually. For more information about this study, or to volunteer for this study, please contact: Rebecca Genoe Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies at 306-585-4781 or Email: rebecca.genoe@uregina.ca. Now offering yoga classes that are affordable to those on a budget ($3/class), and accessible from anywhere! Typically a yoga class goes for $15-$20 per class or hundreds of dollars for a subscription making it very inaccessible to most Canadians; so join a welcoming, open and inclusive community during these isolating times and embark a unique wellness journey!
Classes will be online and recorded in case you miss it/ want to do it again! Classes will make you sweat and definitely have you activating many different parts of your body (and mind)!!! Classes will take place in the evenings of Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, or Saturday afternoon!
DM or email me to sign up/with any questions! Classes will start the week of March 22nd, and you’ll receive an online link to join us live each class and to a recording! ***REGISTRATION CLOSES MARCH 21ST!!!***
A little about me: I am a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200hr) and graduated from a world class yoga school in Houston, Texas (USA). Additionally, I have certification in Trauma Informed Yoga and Yoga for Anxiety. I personally incorporated yoga into my life to establish balance, reduce anxiety, and improve my overall wellness! It’s fun, it’s healthy, it challenges you in the right ways, and allows you to take time out of your day to reflect inward!
Don’t be concerned about not being “flexible” enough or think that you “can’t do yoga”! I offer modifications throughout each practice and the beauty of yoga is that everyone’s journey is unique to themselves! When you join my classes you are asked to not compare yourself to any other students and to begin each session with no expectations... rather you come to each class and “feel it out” as you go (truly the beauty of the practice)!
Feel free to email with any questions!

Hello, I am a 30-year-old man with Autism Spectrum Disorder and am struggling to find a place to live.
I am very quiet 99% of the time but I can struggle with outbursts sometimes. I don’t have any friends and I keep to myself but I would like to have a friend if possible.
I would love a place that is quiet and either with another person who has autism or live alone.
I love nature, hikes, animals and, though I don’t have any pets, I do love cats and wish I could have one. In my spare time, I watch Netflix documentaries and comedies and I love good food.
I also work part time. I don’t have a vehicle.
Please let me know if you can help me find somewhere to live that is safe and long term.
Thank you!

I'm a 30 year old multi-instrumentalist with a focus on Guitar and Bass, I also have a few years of professional vocal training and plenty of experience performing. If you're a gigging band with paid gigs and you need Bass, Guitar, and some vocals I'm your guy.
I have reliable transportation, Pro gear, I can read what ever sheet music, charts, or tabs you throw at me. I have about 15 years worth of playing experience in a variety of different styles. I've had about 10 years of private lessons that focused on Rock/Blues, Jazz, songwriting, improvising and lots of theory. I'm still privately studying jazz theory and improvising with one of the best pianists on the Island. I currently work as a Music teacher and I'm also currently enrolled in the CONA Sound Recording and Production course.
Links and Samples available upon request.

Guitarist/bassist/backing vocalist(26) and drummer/engineer(33) with several years of experience jamming and recording together, looking for a vocalist to record an EP and maybe do some gigs or something in the fall/winter if things are opened back up. We've recorded a 5-track EP between December and now, entirely done aside from vocals and some guest leads on the instrumental outro, I tried doing vocals on one track, not happy with how it turned out and would rather get a dedicated singer as that would make gigging much easier when the time comes.
The stuff we have is a bit all over, there's a kinda Dokken-on-steroids hard rock number and then some faster stuff, but it's mostly in the speed/power/"traditional heavy metal" vein. Iron Maiden, '80s Queensryche/Fates Warning, Dio-era Black Sabbath, early Blind Guardian, Steeler, Deep Purple/Rainbow, that kinda stuff. I can do backups or should we need them growls but I'd rather have a traditional "clean" vocalist for this as opposed to the extreme-style stuff. If you're comfortable playing rhythm guitar, keys or what have you that's also a big plus, but vocals are the main thing here.
The drummer and I both have recording setups, I'm going to be out of town for a few months when work starts back up(early-mid April?), but the drummer works in town and he knows what he's at with the recording so we can probably get it all finished via correspondence. Once work is out in the fall I'll be back and we have some ideas bouncing around already for a full-length release in the winter or spring and, again, would be more than willing to work via correspondence over the summer. Anyways, bit of a ramble here but let us know if you're interested and hopefully we can figure something out!

We are conducting an online research study to better understand how social distancing is impacting people’s mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic. While isolated from others, many people are using smartphones to keep in touch and engage with others. With the use of a special app, we can begin to understand how people are saying socially connected through calling, messaging, and app usage. Understanding healthy social behaviour during the pandemic can help minimize the negative consequences of social distancing. We are looking for people to join our study!
Who can Participate? We are looking for people who are ages 15 and older to participate in the study. You do not need to be diagnosed with a mental disorder to participate in the study. Everyone is welcome!
Will you be reimbursed for your time? Participants will receive $40 for filling out the questionnaires and working with our app for one month. We will ask participants to fill out questionnaires again after three months. So, if you complete the study you will receive $60.
Please register using the following link, so that we can send you more information about what it will mean to take part in the current research study: ww.covid19-prosit.info
A staff member from our research team is available to answer any questions you have about the study at our toll-free number 1-833-905-0314 or by email at PROSIT@iwk.nshealth.ca
