We are recruiting for the 2023 fishing season!
Stork Lake Lodge is located 45 km west of Ear Falls, Ontario on the legendary Long Legged Lake. There is a one hour gravel road to the boat launch and then a 10 minute boat ride to our resort.
We are a chain of 7 different lakes and a fishery of world class Walleye, Northern Pike, Lake Trout, and Musky. Our resort offers our guests all inclusive packages.
We are seeking great people who love the outdoors to join our outstanding team of service providers. Stork Lake Lodge accommodates up to 60 guests per day! We are committed to offering a warm, friendly work environment with strong team culture.
We are seeking 2 Dock Hands this season. Dock Hands assist with various work around the lodge for the season such as:
•Dropping off/picking up guests
•Drive atv with cart for guests luggage
•Load and unload guests luggage to assigned cabins
•Filleting fish (a lot of fish)
•Burning garbage/drop off non burnable garbage to towns landfill
•Fuel up and bilge boats
•General maintenance of cabins, equipment, property
•Clean minnow tank
•Town run for groceries
•Cut down trees and split for firewood
•Deliver firewood to cabins
Cook duties:
We are seeking a cook this 2023 season. Not all guests eat in the kitchen so the guest range is between 2-25 guests. There is a suggested meal plan if needed. The day consists of delivering coffee to cabins that eat in the kitchen at 6:30 am. Breakfast is at 7am. Lunch is at 12. Some guests decide to fish all day so a bag lunch would be provided. Supper is served at 6:30 pm. Every Second day is a fish fry.
Some days can be labour intensive and you're on your feet all day. You must be willing to work 7 days a week with some days having a little down time. You must be willing to work from the middle of May-Mid September.
The following experience is preferred:
•Must have experience driving a boat with an outboard motor
•Must be willing to learn how to fillet a fish
Seasonal position beginning middle of May and end mid September
Must be physically fit as you spend a lot of time on your feet!
Free onsite accommodations
Meals included and free use of laundry.
Limited amount of wifi for checking emails/texting family. There is a phone to make phone calls. Tips are included and not shared.
