Fort Amherst Healthcare is a real estate development and investment company with a focus on seniors healthcare. We currently manage approximately 350 beds across the province of Newfoundland, and have recently launched the first private adult day program in the province.
Job Description
To further codify and systemize our operations, we are pursuing retirement home accreditation via Accreditation Canada. As such, we are seeking a self-starting consultant to join our team to help guide and manage this process. Reporting to the President of Fort Amherst Healthcare, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing all components and activities required by this process. The successful candidate will drive enterprise wide accreditation by developing relationships with the accreditation board and management teams at each of our locations, completing a gap analysis of our organization, and satisfying each of the conditions precedent for accreditation.
This role enjoys flexibility to work from home ~one day a week, but travel to our locations across the province will also be required.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Interfaces with internal and external clients, GM Council, and departments in the review of quality improvement data and in the implementation of appropriate interventions to effect improvement.
• Manages the overall accreditation processes and resources required to successfully lead the team.
• Evaluates, interprets, and summarizes accreditation guidelines and manages the process for accreditation activities.
• Identifies appropriate resources and accountabilities for project teams involved with accreditation.
• Conducts the ongoing evaluation and interpretation of quality standards and accreditation standards to ensure compliance through reporting and measurement studies/ methodologies.
• Serves as expert resource on accreditation to GM Council and business owners across the organization.
• Leads and provides oversight of quality studies/projects.
• Facilitates project management and develops comprehensive accreditation work plans by establishing deliverables, accountabilities, and timelines.
• Performs quantitative and qualitative analysis of quality related data and reports activities, improvements, and recommendations to the GM Council.
Qualifications
• Business degree with minimum 3 years of experience of Project Management or comparable experience
• Exposure to healthcare services with a clinical background of nursing, medical, or social work experience preferred
• Ability to work autonomously and report to senior management
• Exception attention to detail & organizational skills
• Exceptional communication skills
• Exceptional qualitative & quantitative abilities
• 12 month Consulting Agreement with possibility of extension
Salary commensurate with experience.
