The Brain Tumour Walk is an opportunity to come together across Canada to celebrate and remember our heroes. We walk with a united goal – to see an end to brain tumours.
There are no registration fees, no fundraising minimums and all are welcome to join. Pre-registration is required.
Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada is the only national, not-for-profit organization dedicated to reaching every Canadian affected by any type of brain tumour through support, education, and research.

Who Gets What: First come first served
What You Should Bring: A few containers/bags to transport your trees.
May want to bring your cheque book if
need to renew your TLCA membership? We also now do e-transfers.
TLCA membership is only $30/yr. or $125 for 5 yrs.
Over the years literally thousands of small trees and bushes have been distributed to members for free. To participate you must have property that fronts on Trout Lake or on one of its tributaries, and be a TLCA member in good standing.
If you have second tier property (on the other side of the road from the lake) and wish to slow down runoff or control erosion using natural vegetation, then you also qualify.

Lived Experience & Recovery Network (LERN) is excited to share that we are planning for our Annual Conference, occurring on June 22 & June 23, 2023, in-person in North Bay, Ontario.
LERN’s conference has individuals gathering that are from northeast Ontario. Our attendees are from LERN’s member organizations and programs that are in various roles within Peer Work/Peer Support Workers.

LERN is eager to invite all proposals to present at our June 2023 in-person conference!
This year our theme is Reuniting Peer to Peer!
We are also encouraging submissions to present for our future presentations and/or webinars.
Our conference will be for only our LERN member organizations; however, proposal/presentation submissions is open to all (please read submission requirement below):

Conference theme: Reuniting Peer to Peer:
• Presenter(s), name of organization/service (if applicable) & contact details
• Description of presenter
• Presentation topic & title
• Brief biography of presenter(s) max of 50 -70 words
• Presentation information (purpose/goal, how it relates to our theme, target audience (or limitation), what will attendees learn or gain from this, any forms of triggers to respectfully inform attendees).
• Presentation details (including length, format, can attendees interact or ask questions, requirements, etc.)
• Presenter availability on June 22 and/or June 23 (morning)
• Requirements for presentation: Do you require any audio and/or visual requirements (i.e., projector, speakers, etc.)?
• Compensation: Please provide your presentation price and/or other requirements. If you do not require a fee for your presentation, please indicate so.Presentation Topics: Seeking presentations that are respectful within mental health and addictions peer support community (lived experience) within our 2023 theme of Reuniting Peer to Peer.
Please note, LERN advocates for a respectful, diverse, equality and inclusive environment for everyone, everywhere. This means we require our presentations and presenters to have the same or similar approach.
Presentation Requirements:
• Must be available to present in North Bay on June 22 or June 23 (morning), 2023.
• Provide all the proposal requirements listed above.
• Comfortably presenting to a live audience with primarily Peer Support Workers.
• Be able to present for at least minimum of one hour.
• Submit all information requirements mentioned in our submission details.
• Be respectful, kind, and friendly to all diverse attendees.
• If you have another format (music, art, poems, posters, etc.) to submit for our Reuniting Peer to Peer conference, please do so, as all submissions will be greatly appreciated and considered.
LERN will:
• Provide the presenter with conference details and registration (if meals, accommodation and/or travel expenses are needed, please inform)
• Attend conference and be of support for presenter (collect questions, etc.), if needed.
• Provide support with reviewing your presentation prior to speaking date, if required.QUESTIONS?

The Rotary Club of North Bay’s 21st annual rotary4kids fundraiser to raise much needed funds in support of area children and youth with special needs, is taking place on March 30 and 31.
