Great resort town of Huntsville only 20 minutes away. There are several golf courses in the area including Huntsville Downs. Our favourite Provincial Park is just minutes away - Arrowhead Park, with lovely walks to the small falls and so many great hiking trails! Algonquin Park is close enough to enjoy day tours, you can rent a canoe there and picnic among the trees made famous by the Group of Seven. For a night-on-the-town with dinner and entertainment, Deerhurst Inn and good restaurants are within 1/2 hour of the cottage. There is an excellent Tourist Info Centre about 4km north of Novar on Hwy #11 with helpful staff and lots of brochures detailing interesting places to go as well as upcoming events in and around the area. There are lots of antique shops, artist studios and galleries, first rate music festivals ranging from jazz to opera..... Huntsville has lots of shopping options, from major chains to specialty and organic. If you need more local shopping, Hope’s Clover Farm is only 8 minutes away with groceries, LCBO and a gas station.

For Rent – 1 bedroom chalet at Elkhorn Resort for 4 nights starting Friday August 14 to Friday August 21. Will consider renting week for 2 night minimum stays during that week. Chalet sleeps 4 people. Chalet includes a pull out sleep sofa in the living room and a Queen Size bed in the master bedroom. Chalet includes a full kitchen with dishwasher, fireplace, BBQ on the balcony and outdoor furniture on the balcony. Renters of the chalet have full access to the Elkhorn Resort hotel including the pool and hot tubs. Elkhorn Chalet Resort guests also get reduced spa passes for the Klar So Nordic Spa at the Elkhorn Resort. Chalet rents for $537 per night (plus taxes) on Friday and Saturday and $409 per night (plus taxes) from Sunday to Thursday. Weekly rental is $2865 (plus taxes) for 7 nights. The three bedroom cottage on the St. John River in Kingston New Brunswick rents weekly for $1800. The cottage is available from June to September.
There are three large bedrooms with queen size beds. The master bath includes a large soaking top glass in shower and double vanity. The second bathroom has a large shower and vanity. The kitchen and sitting room are an open concept. The kitchen is fully equipped so all you have to do is bring your food. A large barbeque is on the deck for your outdoor cooking. The cottage has a washer and dryer for your convenience. Enjoy amazing sunsets from the family room or the large screened in porch. The screened in porch allows you to sit in the comfort and enjoy morning coffees, or a late night relaxation . There is also a large media room, which includes a large TV, DVD player, plenty of movies, selection of games and books for your enjoyment.
Enjoy privacy on this quiet road. There are some cottages and your round houses on this road.
Kayaks and paddle boards are available for you to enjoy the river on your private beach.. Life jackets are available and are a must. There are plenty of beach towels for your use.
