Seeking a well rounded carpenter / cabinet maker looking for a challenge in their life right now. We will be installing 15 of our insulated log cedar yurts with a round standing seam metal roof on a round wall.
1 month of shop work then 4 months living out. Executive chef and accommodations included. Install is on Vancouver Island. Possible full time employment after this project.Preference given to someone that can use a welder, plasma cutter and is great with curves. We also manufacture barrel saunas, sleeping barrels and cedar hot tubs.
Start wage is $30 with bonuses based on performance. Position available immediately in the Parksville area.

Participate in the on-call rotation (this may on occasion include after-hours call outs on evenings & weekends).What you will bring:

Valid BC Class 5 driver’s license with satisfactory abstract.

Closing Date: August 31, 2023Reporting to the Processing Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, the Gasfitter/Plumber is qualified to design, install, test, adjust, maintain, and repair lines, appliances, equipment and accessories in various sectors. Appliances and equipment include those that do not exceed 400,000 BTUh of 120KW such as boilers, burners, makeup air units, furnaces, process burners and various other gas-fired equipment. Plumbers, install, repair and maintain pipes, fixtures and other plumbing equipment used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
Responsibilities:- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Install, maintain, and repair water and waste disposal systems
- Install and maintain process piping and all HVAC units
- Diagnose all system problems
- Disassemble and reassemble system components as required
- Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Gasfitter A Certification and Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Plumber Certification
- Valid driver’s license
- Working knowledge of basic computer systems (Microsoft Office®)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Small Water and Small Waste Water systems ticket would be an asset
- Experience in a mining environment is an asset

- Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Electrician Certification
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficient in distributed control systems (DCS), programmable logic controls (PLC), variable frequency drive (VFD), motor control center (MCC), and microprocessors
- Understanding of the Electrical Code
- Familiarity with reading electrical schematics and prints
- Strong interpersonal skills
