If you do not have a genuine love for dogs, this is not the place for you. It is physically demanding and mentally challenging. We are seeking someone mature enough to understand and accept the responsibility of caring for other people’s “children”.
This job can be a lot of fun and very rewarding but it is not just sitting around and playing with puppies all day. The dogs need to be cleaned up which includes handling a lot of poop and pee. They have to be fed the right food and given the right medications. You will need to be organized and be able to remember who gets what and what dog belongs to a client. You will have to remember all of the dog’s names and behaviors.
Cleaning is a major part of every position at the daycare. If you get ill at the idea of cleaning up vomit and diarrhea, this is not the job for you. You must be able to pick up 40lbs. You will also be on your feet for the majority of the shift.
Interested applicants should send a cover letter and resume to playtime@barkparks.ca
