Warehouse Customer Service Associate

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the preparation of documentation, shipping, receiving, picking, packing, and quality control. You will be in compliance with training in Health & Safety, Security, Quality control, ISO and SOP’s. This position is perfect for someone who is detailed oriented, enjoys speaking to people, and looking for opportunities for growth.
Shifts:
8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Monday - Friday
Location: Richmond, BC on Blundell Road
Public transportation accessible
Steel toes required

Responsibilities
Duties as a Warehouse Customer Service Associate but not limited to:
- Operate different types of manual lifting equipment such as pallet truck, carts.
- Work in accordance with NECA SOP’s and our customers SOP’s
- Unload cargo from truck trailers and various ocean containers where forklifts are not needed
- Check and put away received cargo to the designated areas
- Pick orders and prepare them for safe transport
- Work on special projects and repacking operations
- Load cargo into truck trailers or various ocean containers where forklifts are not needed
- Responsible for quality control; Damaged cargo coming into the warehouse must be signed for as damaged and the damaged materials must not be shipped. Both instances must be reported to the warehouse supervisor immediately
- Responsible for verifying all documentation (waybills, packing lists)
- Use warehousing management system and maintain accuracy of inventory
- Communicate with client representatives and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
- Practice safe warehouse procedures, identify potential hazards, and recommend improvements where necessary
- Report any work-related injuries or accidents to Supervisor/Manager
Qualifications
- Experience in general warehousing with preference to a 3PL environment
- Experience with WMS, TMS, various courier shipping systems.
- Good communication skills via email, phone, and in person
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Required to operate counterbalance, reach trucks and electric and manual pallet trucks
