We are looking to hire immediately an experienced Marine Mechanic that has the following skills, qualifications and experience listed below. We encourage you to apply if you are passionate about working on boats all year round with friendly staff and a family fun environment.
As a mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning of boats, motors, trailers and equipment. Your expertise in mechanical systems, along with your ability to diagnose and repair issues will contribute to the overall efficiency of our operations. If you are a skilled mechanic with a passion for problem-solving, we would love to have you join our team.
You will directly report to the Marine Service Manager and your primary responsibilities will include but not limited to the following..
* Full rigging of boats (for Legend Boats, Mercury and our in-house Pontoons which may have motors such as Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki, Honda & more.
* Installing, servicing and repairs of marine electronics
* Proven experience as a mechanic or similar role
* Test, adjust and troubleshoot components
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on Boats, Outboard, Inboard motors equipment
* Diagnose mechanical issues and provide appropriate solutions
* Complete pre delivery inspections of outboards, inboards with accuracy and in a timely manner - Report any concerns to the Service Manager
* Conduct inspections and identify potential problems
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow
* Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
* Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
* Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and software
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
Requirements:
- Certified Marine Mechanic or similar (preferable)
- Experience in the Marine Industry (preferable)
- Experience with Mercury, Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, Johnson/Evinrude (Outboards) and Mercruiser, Volvo Penta & more (Inboards)
- Computer skills an asset but not necessary
- Mechanical Knowledge
- Proficiency in using hand tools & power tools (Ready to work with own tools)

Salary: $25.00-$40.00 per hour

Responsibilities:
This job is cutting over sized scrap metal for recycling.
Requires working outdoors (in all weather conditions) all year round.
This job is piecework and pays by the ton, and has great earning potential for experienced burners.
Health and Safety training is an asset.
Experience using oxygen/propane torches a must to ensure optimal earning potential.
Full protective gear and equipment is supplied, you must have your own safety boots.
Reliable transportation is recommended, but not necessary if you have other means to get to and from work.
