Hello!
I am a 36-year-old man with ASD. I am very independent but struggle to make friends.
I love hiking, walking, being out in nature, gardening, and all things outdoors. I love animals and cats but I don’t have any pets. I work part-time. I don’t drive a vehicle. I live in St. John’s and am looking for a new apartment, as well.
I am wondering if there are other adults (male or female) who would like to get a group together for hiking the East Coast Trail or maybe walking in the park this spring and summer. We could bring a friend, family member or social worker/care worker if necessary.
Thank you!

Now offering yoga classes that are affordable to those on a budget ($3/class), and accessible from anywhere! Typically a yoga class goes for $15-$20 per class or hundreds of dollars for a subscription making it very inaccessible to most Canadians; so join a welcoming, open and inclusive community during these isolating times and embark a unique wellness journey!
Classes will be online and recorded in case you miss it/ want to do it again! Classes will make you sweat and definitely have you activating many different parts of your body (and mind)!!! Classes will take place in the evenings of Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, or Saturday afternoon!
DM or email me to sign up/with any questions! Classes will start the week of March 22nd, and you’ll receive an online link to join us live each class and to a recording! ***REGISTRATION CLOSES MARCH 21ST!!!***
A little about me: I am a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200hr) and graduated from a world class yoga school in Houston, Texas (USA). Additionally, I have certification in Trauma Informed Yoga and Yoga for Anxiety. I personally incorporated yoga into my life to establish balance, reduce anxiety, and improve my overall wellness! It’s fun, it’s healthy, it challenges you in the right ways, and allows you to take time out of your day to reflect inward!
Don’t be concerned about not being “flexible” enough or think that you “can’t do yoga”! I offer modifications throughout each practice and the beauty of yoga is that everyone’s journey is unique to themselves! When you join my classes you are asked to not compare yourself to any other students and to begin each session with no expectations... rather you come to each class and “feel it out” as you go (truly the beauty of the practice)!
Feel free to email with any questions!

Are you in a romantic relationship and plan to relocate with your partner in the near future? Are you interested in being involved in psychological research? If so, then our study would be a great fit for you!
My name is Rebecca, and I am a researcher from the Relationships and Well-Being (RAW) Lab at the University of Toronto. Our lab studies romantic relationships and what factors are responsible for keeping couples healthy and happy over time.
More specifically, we are launching a study that tracks couples who are going to relocate to a different city or country for one partner’s job in the upcoming year—a growing trend in our fast-paced, mobile world. Many people report changes to their relationships during a major life transition such as relocation. We are interested in surveying couples before they relocate, during their move (i.e., brief biweekly surveys in the midst of moving), and after they have relocated (i.e., follow-up surveys 6, 9, and 12 months later) to identify factors that will help couples navigate changes throughout the relocation process. Given the longer-term commitment we require in this study, participants can earn up to $120 CAD ($240 CAD per couple) for their valuable time and efforts.
To be eligible for our study, you and your partner must be:
• At least 18 years old
• Currently living together
• Able to read and write in English
• Planning to relocate for one of your jobs/schooling in a month from now up to at the latest August 2021
• Both willing to participate in the studyIf you meet our criteria and are interested in participating in our study, we ask that you email us at utmrelocationstudy@gmail.com with the subject line “Interest in Romantic Relationships and Relocation Study”, or reply via the kijiji portal. When we reply, we will arrange a time to chat on the phone with you and your partner to confirm your eligibility. Note: your personal information will be kept strictly confidential and only used for the purposes of contacting you to confirm eligibility.
We look forward to hearing from all of the relocators out there!
With great thanks,

We are looking for people born between 1946-1965 to take part in a study of leisure, work, and life transitions. While many baby boomers have begun to retire, others are unable to retire or are choosing not to retire for a variety of reasons. If this sounds like you, we want to learn from you. As a participant in this study, you will be asked to participate in an online blog with others in your generation by sharing your experiences and perceptions of leisure, work, and your decision not to retire. Your participation would involve 4 sessions per year for three years, each of which is approximately two weeks. You will be asked to log on to the blog about 5 times in each session. You can create new posts and/or comment on the posts of others. If you volunteer to participate, you will be contacted by a researcher to help you set up an account and get comfortable navigating the blog. In appreciation for your time, you will receive a $50.00 gift card annually. For more information about this study, or to volunteer for this study, please contact: Rebecca Genoe Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies at 306-585-4781 or Email: rebecca.genoe@uregina.ca. We are conducting an online research study to better understand how social distancing is impacting people’s mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic. While isolated from others, many people are using smartphones to keep in touch and engage with others. With the use of a special app, we can begin to understand how people are saying socially connected through calling, messaging, and app usage. Understanding healthy social behaviour during the pandemic can help minimize the negative consequences of social distancing. We are looking for people to join our study!
Who can Participate? We are looking for people who are ages 15 and older to participate in the study. You do not need to be diagnosed with a mental disorder to participate in the study. Everyone is welcome!
Will you be reimbursed for your time? Participants will receive $40 for filling out the questionnaires and working with our app for one month. We will ask participants to fill out questionnaires again after three months. So, if you complete the study you will receive $60.
Please register using the following link, so that we can send you more information about what it will mean to take part in the current research study: www.covid19-prosit.info
A staff member from our research team is available to answer any questions you have about the study at our toll-free number 1-833-905-0314 or by email at PROSIT@iwk.nshealth.ca

How has the pandemic impacted your health and wellbeing? What has been helpful and what has not been helpful for your mental health?
Researchers from the University of Victoria are participating in a global collaboration to study the psychological impact of the pandemic and lockdown. We are asking people to complete a short questionnaire to better understand how the pandemic is affecting us all and its impact on our day to day lifestyle. I would appreciate if he could get in touch with me with the first name provided at the time and the location where it was dropped off, as I wanted to give them a little something to say thanks for their kindness.
