The property was selectively harvested approx in 1993. A lot of mature trees were left approx 120 acres. The old logging roads are now trails that can be seen in the satellite images throughout. The tree species primarily found in this region are birch, poplar, spruce, tamarack, some cedars and pines.
This area of Dorion & Hurkett and surrounding is known for its' serious trout, bass and walleye fishing, with several lakes and streams near by such as Wolf Lake, Innes Lake, Cavern Lake. Not to mention some beautiful creeks and streams like Coldwater Creek, Black Sturgeon River and Wolf River. All within a short distance from the property, Cavern Lake is only 850 meters from the property!
