For the last 5 years I've been performing all over the GTA, including: festivals; pride, multi-cultural, afro-fest, private functions, restaurants, bars, and producing my local show while producing tracks for local Toronto artists. Too often, I hear about beginner students horror stories about learning in the classical vein or the lack of purpose in general lesson plans. My focus is to create a unique lesson plan for each student to maximize efficiency while incorporating my teaching style into the plan. I incorporate musical expression, technique, and theory into each lesson while taking we've learnt and reworking it into something original. Composition being the ultimate goal; as we learn a lot quicker thinking for ourselves. There are no limitations, I've taught and performed in many genres: Classical, Jazz, Rock,Pop,Reggae, Blues, Hip-hop, Gospel, Fusion, the list goes on... So who am I? I’ve been playing as well creating, arranging music for a good part of my life. Over the years I’ve acquired an unique skill set that continues to expand and develop. I’ve been on a hand full of (inde)pendent release playing guitar, bass and singing. (I can provide you with links, just ask).
Started performing in bands back in middle school. At the age of fourteen I would cold call dive bars around the gta asking if I could put in showcases for my bands. Quickly learning how to communicate with others. The first couple of years was a big learning curve for me (booking venues, bands, collecting door fee’s, sound tech and stage management).
In my early twenties I started to track / record bands. Doing demos and pre-production work. This eventually turned into me freelancing as an audio technician.
I’m currently looking to work with others in some type of capacity. Either session on your song / full record or possibly being in a Band. I have my own rehearsal space and full drivers license. I’m able to sing, play guitar, bass, drums and basic piano. I’m normally sober but do enjoy a beer time to time.

Lawyer/entrepreneur looking for a creative and talented instrumentalist who can produce, arrange, and mix original song material for a unique pop song licensing project (film, televison, ad licensing, etc.) . I am developing a package of original song properties around a charismatic vocal female performer who I am currently working with. We already have five songs in the can and are looking to launch some time next year with an album's worth of 14 original songs. .
Qualities sought: Professionalism and reliability above all. I am already working with a small team of producer/instrumentalists. each of whom has been assigned an original song to build around the female performer. I am aiming for a strategy that will build on the cumulative impact of the package of original music that we are working on. To round out the team, I am looking for someone who is a well rounded intrumentalist - who can play guitar, bass, keyboards, and at least has a great sense with programming or playing drums/percussions. A background in - or understanding of - harmonic theory, along with an excellent ability to arrange and mix strings, is a plus. Toward that end, you should have your own home recording studio ,with access to the latest instrumental plug-in libraries.
You will be provided with original, melodically-driven, pop song structures to work with, and will co-own the copyright of any recordings you produce that will be used to generate licensing, download, and/or streaming revenues.
You should have an artistic sensibility to appreciate that the production of generic template music is not the way to stand above the rest, particularly when you are coming from outside the music industry. To be clear, this is not a work-for-hire proposition. I'm not looking to hack it out. I understand how enormously difficult it is to make headway in this market. At the end of the day, the value is in the cumulative fruit of a working partnership that generates creative chemistry - as I take up the reins in seeking and negotiating the commercial licensing opportunities around the catalogue of original song properties that we will work together in developing around the vocal performer. You will have an equity stake in the recording you work on. As this is also very much a producer-driven project, I aim to promote the producers who have contributed to the project.

I am looking to form a band. I am a singer/ songwriter currently going to school for Music Business. I am interested in performing, and forming a band has always been a dream of mine. I am not a strong guitar player, so I would want to be a lead singer, or back up singer. Open to any other instrument style. Looking for drummer, bassist and guitar players. I live in Oshawa. I do not currently have a place of practice, so all of this would have to be figured out as we go along.
If anyone has any experience and wants to start a band, that would be so helpful. I am in my first year of my program, and still a lot to learn. Knowledge of how to run a band, or experience being in one would be helpful. Otherwise, I do not mind taking the lead as I go.
I enjoy a lot of soul pop, and pop type music. However, I also love alternative, punk, rock, folk and metal as well. Open to play around with covers, or write our own content as well.

New band looking for a rock star lead guitar player that can write his/her own riffs and solos but also sing back-ups and harmonies. Ideally someone who owns good gear and knows how to use it. Also important you know your notes, not just fret numbers. Gotta keep up!
